And She Has A Cute Nose

I was just re-reading my past post and I wanted to take it all back because I feel so guilty.

I wrote all that stuff that irritates me and not the great, wonderful things that I love about my MAV. I didn't tell all about how relieved I am to have her back after two years and how it's so great to hear how well she's doing. I didn't write about how she won first prize at her spelling bee and how she's so super proud of that. Or how she got perfect attendance even though she has more than one home. I didn't mention that she is bright and funny and adaptable and mature and sweet and honest. She is adorable and fun.

I wanted you to know the wonderful things, too.

I've Gone Off My Diet Too

So, I have MAV for a few more days. This "parenting" a nine year old girl is pretty new to me. I am so not used to the behaviors of some children today. I'm also not as familiar with this age as I am with a bit younger ages. Plus, she is being raised a lot different than I was raised or would raise her. Here are some of the issues we're (I'm?) having:

I know that it's mostly me and my problem. I don't yell. I speak sternly and directly and if something continues, we have a discussion. She is very, very mature for her age and is adorable when talking about things. I know that lots of things that she does that irritate me are not her fault and so I try to be patient. I don't know how much this has to do with her parentage (or who she is with and around) or personality. I also don't know if some of this would be easier for me to deal with if she were my child. I feel like a bitch when I get stern and correct her too much. I want to be fun Nanny, but not be walked all over and have her misbehave. If she were our child I could correct her as I see fit.

And Luke. Luke is infinatly more patient with her than I am or than he is with me. He is really fantastic with kids and that is the 100% truth. He's like a Pied Piper with them, they all love him so much. MAV and Luke have always been like this, since she was born. She has a nickname for him, they hold hands, play with the ball, watch movies. She helped in the yard yesterday while I cooked in the kitchen. I looked out my window at the two of them together and it was adorable. It was a little glimpse at my future.

my dreams all come true standing side by side in the yard

A Weekend Update

It's Kate's birthday weekend! Her birthday was yesterday (the 28th). Go and send her some love and good wishes or leave them for her here. Even though she got cake and I did not. Happy Birthday, Kate! Love and kisses, xoxo

Also, remember this? Well, I won!!! I'm thrilled. I'm probably more excited than I should be for chocolates and Starbucks. I don't drink coffee but I like the tea there a lot. Thanks Mel. I also won a cute floating candle and notepad from Kathryn a few weeks ago. I took a picture but I cannot find the camera right now. Thanks guys!!

My godchild, MAV (initials), is here with me for a few days. She is nine. We went shopping for clothes yesterday and OHMYGOODNESS! We almost didn't make it. Or one of us didn't make it but I cannot say for sure which one would've survived it. It was a lot easier when she was 5 to buy her clothes. Now, she wants THOSE shorts and a DRESS and a HOODIE (in the summer? in south LA?) and she takes forEVER to try things on. She gets something in her head (the ugly shorts, the dress she won't ever wear, ice cream, what have you) and won't. stop. talking. about it. Geesh! We were very successful in our mission though and bought quite a few bottoms and tops that are appropriate for her.

Lastly, this:

I really Just Want Cake

I am sick of thinking up things to cook. It feels like we have the same things all the time. L is no help at all because when I ask him, "What do you want for supper?" He tells me, "I don't care." That is annoying. Especially knowing that he does care. I am an OK cook. I just don't have much of an imagination these days. I have some cookbooks, but some of them just seem like a joke. Where do these people find the ingredients? That is too fattening! I can't do THAT!

Also, my oven is broken. It has been broken for forever. My daddy bought me a slow cooker so that has been good. I need to call a guy and get it fixed. I'm dragging my feet about it though because it's such a pain. We live in a rent house, see. I know I should call my landlords. I know, I should. It's such a loooong story. If only it were that easy! I guess I would rather pay the money. It can't cost that much. Right? Right?

I have a freezer full of boneless, skinless chicken breasts, hamburger meat, some sausage, porkchops, basic stuff. I just need some ideas for what to cook. I always cook- jambalaya, spaghetti, roast, tacos, rice and gravy. I have not made red beans and rice in a while but it's something I cook a lot and not from a can. L loves it. That is the other thing. He doesn't like some stuff, like meatloaf. Hmmm, he does like shepherd's pie, but I gotta have the oven. Sorry! Thinking out loud.

What do you cook? What do you want to eat? I'm so sick of thinking about this.

Tank Fest '08

I love the Old Navy tanks. There are a ton of styles to choose from. There are striped and other stripes and plain and dressy. Old Navy online has a Woman's Plus line, too.

I always love the Fourth of July tees and tanks for $5.oo. I like this one, but it's inappropriate for me. These are better:

Then, of course, a few more that represent summer in a great way...

I am living in these, jean peddle pushers and flip-flops. Well, not these exact tanks because I don't have them yet but the few that white, black and red one that I have from before. What are you living in? What do you find yourself reaching for over and over to put on this summer?

Sunny Stila Shadow

I've talked before about my deep love for Stila eye shadow. I've been using all the ones I've talked about in that post and just loving them. My mom has all the talking smokey eye quads. I should get commission from them. Well, anyway, I was reading (excitedly) about the new colors for the season and then later looking at the new makeup online when I found this gem.

Stila Summer Eye Shadow Palette is a Limited Edition at Sephora. It includes 6 fantastic colors and a mirror in a cute, sleek gold compact. I got it today and I LOVE it. I've been playing with it all day long. The colors are (from R to L):

I'm super excited to wear this all out. I'll wear it soft and pretty during the day this week, but I can't wait to see what I can do with it for night!! How I can "tart" it up.

Old News & New

Miss Jamie Lynn Spears and fiance Casey Aldridge welcomed a daughter Thursday morning. Around 9:30 am at Mississippi Southwest Regional Medical Center in McComb, MS, MADDIE BRIANN was born. She weighed 7lbs 11oz and reportedly has a head full of hair. Jamie Lynn was discharged from the hospital Friday overnight. I love this picture of her. I think she is pretty here.
What a pretty color on her!

One of my favorite comedians died Sunday. George Carlin died of heart failure at Saint John's Health Center in Santa Monica. He was 71.

Chocolates and Friends

My friend, Mel, over at Life is Like A Box of Chocolates, is celebrating her 500th post with a giveaway. Go on over and read all about it. You could win a box of chocolates. I like Mel because she is really smart, sweet and we have stuff in common. She is a teacher and a mommy to Dylan and Zoe. Here is a picture of them that I stole from her blog (I hope that is okay, Mel!):

Mel lives near the beach (lucky!!) and she loves shoes. She also loves seafood :) My kinda girl. Happy 500th post, Mel honey!

Flip Flops Make Me Feel Better

Remember how I told ya'll about the shoes on sale at J. Crew ? Well, I bought two pairs. (What?) The pair at the left is one of the ones I bought and I love them. Lo-ha-ha-ve them! They are comfy and cute. I have not worn the other pair yet.

We found a house that we love a lot. It is so sweet. It's Acadian-style instead of the newer style which is so us. It's not giant or anything because we don't have giant money, of course. It's also not in a subdivision but there are people around still. There are fruit trees and bushes, a yard, a porch. I'll keep you guys posted.

I'm watching stand up comedy right now and this guy is cracking me up. I watched a tiny little bit of my girl, Kathy Griffin tonight (I love her) and saw that she got a chicken as a gift or something and then it pooped on her shoe. I laughed so hard!! Luke thought it was crazy. He wanted to know if I'd think it was funny if he gave me a chicken for Christmas. No, I would not. Well, kinda. Lindsey and I love Kathy Griffin. Lindsey also loves Luke and thinks he's hilarious. Most of the time, he is not.

I've been thinking of my Bug so much lately. I want, want, want, want the Bug. I'm so ready for Bug to come and be with Mommy and Daddy. We are ready, too. I found some extremely expensive nursery furniture. I'm sure if I searched, I could possibly find a more affordable cradle. Here is what I love. It's ridiculous for a cradle when they don't stay in the cradle for very long. I just like looking at that site because they have pretty stuff. This is more like it.

The healthy eating is going well, I guess. I am trying. Luke told me today that he thinks he is going to start working out which is great. You know what, though. He'll run a few miles and cut out a few things and be back to looking great in no time. That will PISS. ME. OFF. He'll look at me like, "Hey, what's the problem?" He is quiting smoking and it's going really well. He's down to three cigarettes a day. I'm proud of him.

Reeeealllly hoping my rings are at the camp!

Crazy & Numb

I feel crazy. I don't know what is wrong with me. Maybe my meds are at the wrong doses. I am sick of being on meds. I just wish I never had to be on it. I feel kinda numb but also just everywhere. My mind is kinda scattered and I can't think straight. I feel tired and confused and unable to focus. I also feel very sad and hopeless.

I lost my wedding rings. I think I left them at the camp but I don't know for sure. It's devastating. My parents are going this weekend and I hope they find them. If not, I'll just DIE.

It seems that I'm working hard and getting nowhere. I'm still fat and crazy.

My Mr Big

I'm watching Sex and the City on TBS. The episode, "My Motherboard, My Self" where Miranda's mother dies and Carrie's motherboard crashes. Aidan was always my favorite of Carrie's loves. I thought he was so adorable and sweet. John Corbett is a cutie. Did ya'll know he is dating Bo Derek?

Edge Of My Seat

I needed some books for my trip to St Thomas. I picked up two and then just couldn't get into them for one reason or another. This sometimes happens to me. I like them and I did begin to get into one on the way back home.

We were in St Thomas and on Monday, the third day we were there, I needed to stay in because I was sick. I roamed around the living room and saw that there was a collection of books in an armoire-type thing. I found one called Alone by Lisa Gardner. I was drawn to it immediately because I have another one of her books and I liked it a lot. I picked it up and went out to the pool.

This book is amazing! It was hard for me to put it down at night to go to sleep. By the time we were ready to pack up and go home I wasn't finished with the book yet. My mom and brother told me that I couldn't take it even if I left a note and money. UGH! I got home and immediately ordered it from Amazon.

It is so action packed and scary. I would get freaked out but I couldn't abandon it. It was so good and I definitely recommend it to all of you who enjoy murder mystery and mayhem.

Another Meme (with beautiful shoe links)

I saw this on a few peoples' blogs and thought I'd d do it.

1. What were you doing ten years ago?
It was 1998, the summer before my Senior year. I was dating satan and he was breaking up with me and then coming back. This would last almost a year. I had a car that I loved- my Honda Civic. It was a 93, two doors and red. Sarah and I were good friends. Her boyfriend and mine were friends (they were both assholes). Sarah's bf was cute.

2. What are five things on your to-do list today?
I'll tell you what's on the list for tomorrow because it's 7pm & I have had a migraine all day.
-grocery shopping
-towels
-mail off some packages
-pick-up medicine
-work-out with Gussie

3. Snacks you enjoy?
Right now, I love:
-big, fat, pitted cherries
-carrot sticks
-hummus
-Pink Lady apples
-cheese
-grapes

4. Places you’ve lived:-
My 1st hometown, LA
the town we live in now (about 5 minutes from 1st "town"), LA
Luke's hometown, GA
15 minutes from Luke's hometown, GA

5. What are 5 things you would do if you were a billionaire?-
- invest
-give to charities like St Jude and for abused, neglicted and/or unwanted children
-buy a fabulous house
-buy some of my dream shoes like these, these, these, these, these, and these to start. then, this and this and my dream bag that I love so much this.
-get Luke season tickets to the UGA football games
-I know this is six, but I would be sure my parents had whatever they needed and wanted. I'd never want them to have to work again.

OH. MY. GOD!

I love the TIGERS! I'm screaming as much as I can (I've been having a migraine with nausea- ugh) and so is Layla.

The scene- Tigers down three, bases loaded and my man, Blake Dean, hits a 3-RBI DOUBLE!! That put the score at 6-5 and the Tigers win!

It was beeeeeeeeeeeeautiful!

Now I have to lay back down before I pass out.

A Note

I want to say thank you, of course, as always for reading what I write. It means so much to me to hear your opinions, to begin a discussion, to spark some feelings inside someone with what I write.

I just wanted to say that if you are new around here, HI, feel free to comment and look around. If you are not new, HI! I still have some stuff to tell you:

I want to say a big hello to Isabelle and Zoe!! We love you both so,so,so much! We wish both of you could be here right now with us (and your daddy). We will take good care of him, though.

Let Us Pray

I'm a strong, strong believer in prayer. I believe that my faith and prayer got me through some of the worst times of my life. One of my favorite people in the world, my cousin Mary, is going through something and she needs your prayer. Her boyfriend, Tom, has cancer. It's melanoma stage IIIc. He is going through biochemothrapy which is a cocktail of 5 drugs. He just got out of the hospital but I'm not sure how he is doing. They live in California.

Also, my blogging friend, Jill, and her sister (who has a blog that I read too) are going through something terrible. Their mom has cancer. Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma to be exact. She began her treatment a few days ago and yesterday was really bad. So, let's pray for their mom, too. Let's also pray for Jill, Jamie, Addy, and all of the kids and grandkids.

What type of skin do you have?
What type of moisturizer do you use (brand name and name of product)? Do you use the same moisturizer for day and night?
My skin is dry, very dry. I use Cetaphil right now, but it's not enough. It's the consistency of a lotion and I need a cream. It's also tacky-ish feeling after it dries. I think that's just me. Everything seems to be this way on my awful, awful skin. I'm going to ask the dermatologist what to try next.

St Thomas Trip I

It takes me forever to get the pictures done. I have them on the computer, but getting them onto the blog is another story. *sigh* I know it's taken me a long time to do this and I'm sorry. It does not mean that our trip wasn't great because it was, fantastic. We all loved St Thomas so much. It was heaven. The beaches were gorgeous, the weather was beautiful and fantastic. All the people are great and it's just paradise. The shopping is beyond. We had so much fun it's not even desirable. The truth is, if my grandparents and the rest of the fam were there, I'd never wanna come home. I could definitely move there.

We left from New Orleans on Saturday, May 24th (our 5th wedding anniversary). We had a layover in Miami. It was packed full of adventure, too when mom realized she left her purse in the bathroom. We ran back to the bathroom (from another gate area) and banged on the door of the stall (I almost strangled the shady lady in the
stall) she'd been in before. Sadly, but not surprisingly, the purse was not there. Well, she lost it. Her money, emerald ring, and most importantly, her freaking PASSPORT and ID were in there! The two of us run over to the gate and tell the ticket agent who tells us something about lost and found.

Everyone else (dad, Luke, Justin & Shannon) is standing together and may or may not know what's going on at this point. I know that Luke was pretty clueless. I'm a wreck because mom is and I can't take it when she cries. I wanna kill everyone and GET. THE. FREAKING. PURSE. because no way can I listen to her cry and call herself stupid. Seriously, ya'll, I'da given up anything. In the midst of this chaos, this sweet little lady comes running over and tells us, "OH! My friend found a purse in the bathroom stall! She took it to a TSA man." So, we got the purse, the lady is a saint, THANK GOD!! If you ever find anything like this, bring it to a ticket agent or TSA.

We got to St Thomas at night. It was very exciting! I remember being very excited. AND (this was awesome!) we walked out of the plane onto a ladder, not right into the airport. You know what I mean? Like a private plane. I loved that, only because I'd never done it before. The airport was super small and there were Rasta men all over.
Luke & Justin
Famous Magen's Bay

Shannon on Sunday
St. Thomas, along with St John and St Croix, make up the US Virgin Islands, a US territory. The three islands were purchased by the US in 1917 from the Dutch for $25 million. The USVI is the only place under US jurisdiction where you drive on the left side of the road. This is a leftover Dutch thing. It's very, very, very crazy. It's mostly crazy and scary because the whole place is in the side of the island up high. Like mountains... It's very cool. You can see this in the pictures above.

Saturday, we arrived at our place. It was called "Sign of the Dove" and it was a villa. There were lots of little places like this in the neighborhood. It was kinda scary getting there because we were in a minivan, at night following a native St Thomas-ian. There were twists and turns and we were driving on the WRONG SIDE of the street. Whoa! The villa was very nice. I have pictures of that, too.

You'll have to wait for it though. I'm late. We are going to the camp for Father's Day weekend. I got my dad a passport wallet. It's not in yet, of course. I'm always a day late and a dollar short. I hope you all have a great weekend.

PS. I wanted to let you all know that I will be commenting (more) in the comment section. Just an FYI.

My Very Favorites (Right Now) *EDITED

*denotes the new stuff that I put in on 6/13 at 10:57am
I am a big huge name freak as most of you know. I like to discuss names for babies, middle names and how they all go together. I like hearing new names and putting them with family names or names I love already. Swistle has a BLOG dedicated to naming babies and I love it over there. I figured since I'm off the pill and TTC and all, I should share my (current) favorite baby names *(in no perticular order):

Girl
1. Isabella- This is pretty definite for baby girl number one.
2. Julianne/a- I love this name. I like classic sounding, long feminine names. I also love Anna & Annie*. Ann is my mom's middle name.
3. Elizabeth- A middle name and a family name on both sides of our families
4. Amelia- I like it a lot. Lindsey can't say it though. She says "Emilia" then starts sounding like Night At the Roxbury "Emilioooooooooo"
5. Mollie- Luke's choice and I like it
6. Sunshine- Luke's choice for a middle name (He's a hippy at heart)
7. Rhea- (pronounced RAY) The first middle name of our first daughter, it's a family name on my father's side.
8.Vivienne- I love, love it. Said the French way
9. *Eva- This is a name on my father's side and can be shortened to Evie (EE-vie). I like Evie a lot. This is all easier than Evelynn.
10.Corinne- I think this name is gorgeous. It "goes" with the others. Lindsey's cousin named her (sweet) little girl this though.

Boys
1.Asher- My very favorite boy name EVER. I love it. Luke likes it, too which is amazing because he hates everything. But he knows a guy in GA with the name. The guy has a questionable background or something. UGH!
2.Harry- My dad's name. My grandfather's name. Luke's grandfather's name. Luke's uncle's name. It's just very hard to put a middle name with it.
3. Sawyer- I like it. It sounds southern. It's a last name for a first name, my boy name style.
4. Walker- Luke likes this one. He really wants Herschel Walker which is a big, fat NO.
5. Ryder- I like this a lot. One of my favorite Dead songs is "I Know You Rider". Plus, I think it's a great name. I like hearing Kate Hudson talking about her son, Ryder.
6. Thomas- I think this is just a good, solid boy name.
7. Michael- This is my brother's middle name and it's a name we both love.
8. *Hudson- I love this name. I like "H" names. We used to really like Holden but we have an AIDEN & HADEN in our families.
9. Grady- A preppy name that I have always liked.
10. Anderson- It's my grandmother-in-law's maiden name & I really love it. My SIL said she'll kill me if I use it though...
11. *Jonah- I love, love, love this. It's one of my true favs but Luke says NO and no one else really likes it either (mom, dad, etc).

My 670th Post!

I've been sick these past few days. I think I had a stomach bug or ate some undercooked chicken or too many nuts. In any event, I'm sure you get the picture. It's been tres unpleasant. Right now it's 3:42 am and I'm watching reruns on Nick at Nite. Roseanne is on right now.

To the left is an adorable picture of my little LSU Muffin Man at the New Orleans Aquarium a few weekends ago. I have not posted a picture of him in forever so, I thought it'd be a great idea to do so now. He's sick right now. Poor baby. You'd not believe how much his vocabulary has grown! He is so smart and funny and full of energy. He is so so so cute. It's crazy because he is really not a baby anymore but a little boy. If you call him a "monkey" or something like that he will say,"No I not! I a little bo-yeeee" It's really cute and funny.

I need advice. I have a really good friend who I will call, M. M has always been fabulous to me. When I was very down and depressed, she came and brought me food, picked me up, drove me places, cleaned my house, took my grocery list and went to the store, etc. She is still so good to me. She is the type of person that I know I can call anytime and she will do what she can to help. I know this because I've seen it happen. The point is, I'd never, ever want to hurt her. Ever.

We have a lot of food. I don't have enough cabinet space and I always buy way too much anyway. Plus, with me trying to be healthier and lose weight, I have a ton of things that need to go. M and her family kinda struggle. I hate, hate, hate to throw away food in any case but to throw away food when I know someone personally who could use it, that is just wrong! I just don't want to insult anyone. She asks me all the time about jobs (my family owns a business, I know other people in town, etc) or ways for her to make money. That is how I know she could use the stuff. Plus, she is my friend.

I just don't want to be seen as the person who is overflowing with food and giving it away. She is my friend. I love her very much. She has a daughter and a husband. I know that she would probably take it but how do I present that? Can I say that I am on a diet and am getting rid of food but didn't want to throw away things? I give her things all the time. She has helped me clean a few times and I give her make up and clothes that I've never worn or used. It's different though when someone is right there going through things with you. Is it OK for me to call her up and tell her that I have food for her? Just casually, no big deal? Tell me the truth.

It's my 670th post!! Coming soon- what I'm reading now (a few books), what you are reading and some book reviews. Let me know if I promised to mail you a book. I'm bad at remembering to do that. I have no problem doing it, I just forget.

Thanks For the Memories

Geaux Tigers!

Hold the rope*

Lindsey and I spent lots of time at Alex Box Stadium when we were, ahem, younger. We cheered our hearts out for Skip Bertman's team- Jason Williams, Chad Cooley, Trey McClure, Warren Morris and of course, MIKE KOERNER. Tonight the Tigers played their last game in the stadium and it's sad for me. I'll always remember that time of my life fondly. We still have each other and we still have LSU baseball even if Mike K is gone.

The boys are moving into a new stadium, to be named Alex Box, also. Alex Box is the name of an LSU football and baseball player who died in WWII. He died a hero and we love a hero here. Read the story HERE.

Coming Soon... UPDATED

Tori Spelling went into Ceders-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles today for her scheduled C-section. She is having a girl. The picture is of Tori, her husband Dean (with painted toenails- Luke won't even let me paint his at home and take it off) and their baby, Liam, yesterday.

I read Tori's book, Story Telling, right after it came out and I really liked it a lot. I don't agree with some of her decisions, but to each his own. I have watched some of their show and I really liked it. I'm a reality show junkie. I love celebs. Dean is kinda, ummmm, I don't know. Weird and creepy. I think they really do love each other, though. And I think she's funny, funnier than you'd expect.

I wonder what they will name the baby girl. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say right now that it's not gonna be Candy.

At 3:13 pm on Monday afternoon, STELLA DOREEN MCDERMOTT was born by Cesarean. She weighed 6 lbs 8 oz and was 19 3/4 inches long. I love, love, loooove the name Stella. Kate has a niece named Stella. It kinda sounds weird with my last name though. Anyway, Liam and Stella. I know that Doreen is Dean's mom's name (I remember that from the book). What do you think of the name Stella?

Kiddie Fun

I have had a lot of fun these past couple of days. McKenzie came to stay the night with us Thursday night after we went to PF Changs. We loved it, by the way. It was so good. We ate a variety of delicious things and passed them all around. I really liked the sweet and sour chicken and the Cantonese shrimp. Deeelicious!

Friday, Lindsey asked us to go swimming with her and Cooper and the twins. Her aunt (who lives right down the road from me) has a beautiful in-ground pool with stairs and a diving board. It was so much fun! The kids were great and happy and it made me so incredibly besides myself to be there. I love that kinda stuff. I know that sounds crazy, but I do. I'm so happy to be around happy kids.

Lindsey and I took McKenzie and Cooper to see Kung Fu Panda on Friday night. I really loved the movie. The kids did, too. Cooper just kinda gets mesmerized and doesn't move (he did have to pee once) and Kenzie laughs at everything. She gets that from me (and mom). Lindsey says that she laughs like mom and me. Jack Black is awesome and hilarious! It might get a bit violent for some of you and/or your kids so, beware of that. Our kids were fine with the whole movie.

Last night, Luke and I watched LSU baseball. I'm about to watch more. I hope they win today!! Geaux Tigers. I went to sleep early because I was not feeling well (my period) and I slept late. I've been reading, watching baseball and eating fruit. Luke is taking a nap. Oh, I lost 4 pounds!! I'm thrilled. It's just a lazy, summer Sunday...

Sales & Stuff

I have never bought anything from Urban Outfitters. I was looking for some red accessories for My Maria and I came across the site. I found a bunch of things that I love and had to have. These items were also on sale, yay! These are two I bought:
The snake bracelet, loves it
pink floral hinge wallet
There are quite a few fabulous bags that I love, love, love. I just thought I would share. Happy Sale. And another thing that made me teary* today,
Christopher{Gilmore Girls}- "And in an effort to further chronicle this balcony's history, we are now in the immediate vicinity of the spot upon which was Rory's initial elimination."
Lorelai- "Yes, we are. Here's to Rory."
Christopher- "A bright spot in all the darkness."
How absolutely sweet is that? I wanna be somebody's "bright spot." *Oh the emotions.......

Enter At Your Own Risk

L snored last night and I thought I was going to kill him. Seriously, when he snores like that I fantasize about a cute little apartment BY. MYSELF. Then he tells me that he's not snoring. Why would I be awake at 2:34 AM, elbowing you, telling you to STOP THE SNORING FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS GOOD AND HOLY!!!! if you are not snoring? Sweetie? Huh, why? Why would I make that up?

Yesterday, he came here to bring me to the bank (long story) at lunchtime. After we did what we had to there, he drives thru Wendy's. What? He knows that french fries are my weakness and that I cannot have them. I was strong people. I only ate 3. I wanted to get a bucket the size of my head, fill it up with steamy hot fries and order a chocolate frosty, but I got it together. I ordered a tiny little grilled chicken wrap with no cheese. I did have a Diet Coke which I said I wasn't going to do but sue me. I have PMS. Is that obvious?

Tonight we are going HERE for Maria and Madison's birthday celebration. Blue and I have never been and neither has MaMaw. I'll love it because I love everything but Blue, not so much. He's not an adventurous eater at all. He loves the girls, though. Maria's 15th was May 28th and Madison will be 13 on June 10th. He and Madison have a very special bond. She fell head-over-heels in love with him the day they met. She was 3 or 4 years old and was playing dress up. She went to put on a big princess-style dress and got him to slow-dance with her. She melted his heart. Biiiiiig time. She thinks he hung the moon and is her boyfriend. He adores her and takes her side over everyone else.

I got an invite to a diaper shower. How is that different from a regular shower? This is her second pregnancy and she is having twins, a boy and a girl. It's for my cousin, Robby's, wife. The twins are due in August sometime. I would already get them something so, I don't care if she has a shower or not. What do you think about showers? Did you have wedding & baby showers?

So that is all for now. I'm off to wash more clothes. Sorry for the mood...

Are there things you do, or don't do, for religious reasons? Other than not kill people or going to church and following the ten commandments, do you follow rules of religion? Do you not eat certain things or see certain things or cut your hair or whatever?

Fashion Buzz

This edition of Fashion Buzz is not going to be as comprehesive as others are/will be because I have all these pictures that I need to post, but it's been a few days. I don't have all the info and I am not in the mood to search right now. Let's just discuss the fashion as is, 'k? Oh, I still have not gotten the vacation pictures off of my camera. I will be doing that sometime soon.

Lindsay Lohan at the D&G store and I'm guessing in D&G. I like the shoes a lot. The dress is not so bad if it were longer. Her hair should be neater or better done. I DO NOT like it blonde at all.

Angie Harmon is so adorable.I love her voice. Here she is at the Chanel store opening. I love this dress so much. She looks gorgeous. I think she wears clothes so well.
Gwen Stefani on the street. She is about 8 months pregnant with her second child. I think she looks great. I've seen about three or four pictures of her in the past few days and she looks beautiful, happy and healthy. She dresses really great. I know that she and hubby Gavin just had a 2nd birthday party for baby boy, Kingston James. I love that name Kingston. I can't wait until the new baby is born.
Oh, Pammy, Pammy, Pammy... What is this? You can see her nipple. I kinda like the shoes though. And her legs are nice. I wish I had those legs. I actually think that Pam is sweet. I have seen her on interviews and used to read a column she did every month for Jane magazine. This outfit is not good. Neither are all of the marriages.

Diane Krugar. I like the dress. I don't like the hair. I guess it "goes" with the dress, but I never like this 'do. She is dating Joshua Jackson.

Michelle Williams in a vintage dress in Cannes. I think this dress is so sweet. I like her a lot, lot, lot. She has a vulnerable look about her which is really good for an actress. She was brilliant in Brokeback Mountain.
Emmanuel Chriqui plays Sloane on one of my fav shows Entourage. Man I miss that show. Here she is at her new movie premiere. I love the entire look. I think she's stunning. Her last name is pronounced tricky.
Lady in red, Kelly Rutherford, aka, Lily on GG. Wowza cleavage! I'm not sure about the whole look. I like her and think she is very pretty. I enjoy watching her and seeing what she wears on G.G. but this is weird. Is it the way she is standing, maybe? I think so. Her son is named Hermes, isn't that awful?

The Big Diet

I promise that pictures of the vacation are coming. I am going grocery shopping today. I am beginning my diet this week. I am so scared. I'm not afraid that I won't be able to do it per se, but that I won't know how. Does that make any sense? I'm not very knowledgeable about what I'm supposed to eat for every meal. I need food that fills me up or I'll end up aggravated and then just splurging. I've joined WeIgHt WatChErS online and I'm probably going to go to the meetings and things like that.

I'm very excited about loosing weight. I'm way too heavy and it's embarrassing and it hinders me. I want to travel and go places, do things, see things. My brother, Justin, proposed to Shannon (AKA Gus) on our trip and I REFUSE to be uncomfortable and heavy for the wedding. I have a year- I think. That is what I understood from them. I'm the Matron of Honor, too. I can't look like I'm about to eat the rest of the bridal party (or like I ate one before I got to the wedding).

Do you "diet"? I don't want to be on some strict DIET. I'm against things that restrict entire food groups because I don't think that is healthy. I believe in eating real foods that God gave us. I am going to try to eat smaller portions, more fruits and veggies, lean proteins, drink more water and exercise. NO MORE FRENCH FRIES!

Also, do you take a vitamin or daily supplements of any kind? Do you know people who do? What do you take? I'm going to do some research on THESE. If you have any info on them, let me know! I don't know what else I should take besides Folic Acid. Thoughts?
