Copying Me
I just saw a commercial for the new show Kath & Kim. I think it premiered last night. I hardly ever see commercials because I DVR everything and so I fast forward through all of them. Anyway, I just saw that the daughter (Kim?), played by Selma Blair, uses my line when someone asks her what she does!! A trophy wife. I think it's funny. Well, because it's OBVIOUS I'm NOT a trophy wife. So, you know, irony or whatever. Labels: funny, TV

Hope You Watched...
Scattered, random thoughts (as I'm watching) on Flipping Out:-Jeff is mean to poor Frank. -Overuse of the word 'like' by Erin and Jeff right off the bat. -I like little Erin.-I LOVE how Chris K thinks that riding a bus is demeaning but picking up dog poo and turning bottled water around in the fridge and taking lunch orders and all the other crazy tasks he does for Jeff are not. His job is demeaning. -Jenni amazes me with her facial expressions or lack thereof. Jeff does the same thing. -I love Ryan. He is so cute. LOVE his hair and clothes. I want him to be my friend. I like when he fights with Jeff. I like when we see them fight, we see Jeff's POV and then Ryan's. Funny-Jeff & Jenni in the car= my favorite! ("a sugary soda, I think that sounds good.")-I FREAKING love that Jenni won't tell him where she lives. I love it. (..."she won't give me any personal information, thinking I'm somehow gonna track her down. Which I would. My first inclination is that maybe she's gonna break up with me but also she could be, ummm, establishing some sort of boundaries.")-I could never see Jeff and Ryan together! -GOD, Jeff! He's being mean to someone who is helping them with the open house. -I love the house on Valley Oak. I love the bathroom and the floors and the windows. -Awwww, Jenni, I like your hair curly SO MUCH BETTER!! -Erin's message and Jeff's response is priceless. -Oh, the crazy cat food conversation! -Who would be crazy enough to give Jeff Louis a key to their apartment? He's throwing things away and straightening her stuff! -Oh yay! An Exorcism. Ryan's face... this woman is gonna cough up a lung! Gross. She sounds like a 2 pack-a-day smoker.-Aaaaand it's Courtney with a hat. Why does she want to look like that? -Love the kitchen hood that Ryan was showing her in the picture... all that wood, gorgeous-Oh, good gracious, Chris asked for time off. *GASP* -I want to go to Steven-Thomas. I saw a dream bed. - Jeff: "Zoila, what do you like about Chris?" Zoila: rolls eyes and shrugsI cannot wait for next week. Drama! Labels: funny, Jeff Lewis, love, TV

Flip Flops Make Me Feel Better

Remember how I told ya'll about the shoes on sale at J. Crew ? Well, I bought two pairs. (What?) The pair at the left is one of the ones I bought and I love them. Lo-ha-ha-ve them! They are comfy and cute. I have not worn the other pair yet.
We found a house that we love a lot. It is so sweet. It's Acadian-style instead of the newer style which is so us. It's not giant or anything because we don't have giant money, of course. It's also not in a subdivision but there are people around still. There are fruit trees and bushes, a yard, a porch. I'll keep you guys posted.
I'm watching stand up comedy right now and this guy is cracking me up. I watched a tiny little bit of my girl, Kathy Griffin tonight (I love her) and saw that she got a chicken as a gift or something and then it pooped on her shoe. I laughed so hard!! Luke thought it was crazy. He wanted to know if I'd think it was funny if he gave me a chicken for Christmas. No, I would not. Well, kinda. Lindsey and I love Kathy Griffin. Lindsey also loves Luke and thinks he's hilarious. Most of the time, he is not.
I've been thinking of my Bug so much lately. I want, want, want, want the Bug. I'm so ready for Bug to come and be with Mommy and Daddy. We are ready, too. I found some extremely expensive nursery furniture. I'm sure if I searched, I could possibly find a more affordable cradle. Here is what I love. It's ridiculous for a cradle when they don't stay in the cradle for very long. I just like looking at that site because they have pretty stuff. This is more like it.
The healthy eating is going well, I guess. I am trying. Luke told me today that he thinks he is going to start working out which is great. You know what, though. He'll run a few miles and cut out a few things and be back to looking great in no time. That will PISS. ME. OFF. He'll look at me like, "Hey, what's the problem?" He is quiting smoking and it's going really well. He's down to three cigarettes a day. I'm proud of him.
Reeeealllly hoping my rings are at the camp!

Christmas With Muffin & Friends
Always a clown
I could EAT.HIS.FACE.
Twinsies, Bonnie & Clyde
Look at the sweet godson in his froggie towel
Isn't this the cutest outfit ever?
Babies and My Muffin... Love it, love it! My Muffin asked to call me a bunch of times lately. He wants to call "Kwissen." So cute!!
Funny Muffin-ism: Lin got a CC with an angel on it. She is holding a wand and flying over baby Jesus' manger. Muffin said, "Wook, it's majick!" Then, "It's where Chicken Little lives!" How freaking funny is that?

I Am A Big Damn Deal
This totally proves it- I've got people who want to be in my Entourage (yes, my Entourage is capitalized). So, when I'm a big famous writer, I'm ahead of the game. Right now, you gorgeous, fabulous women are just the greatest EVAH! Agreed to be in Entourage: (so far....)1) WendyB- jewelry designer (Oh, the gorgeousness- my fav is the Cleopatra neclace and earrings. I'd LOVE to have the money for her to design something (shoe-y) just for me), history buff (Henry the 8th's wives- I learned so much!) and fish shoe lover! 2)Kate- high school English teacher, choir singer, funny gal, dress lover, runner (my hero!!), and a great personal friend3)Kelli- a fellow tv watcher, a mommy of CUTIE cute babies, has blue in her hair, wants to be on Big Brother, The Amazing Race, or Don't Forget the Lyrics! Is also a personal friend. I know she can handle talking to me on the phone!! Makes me laugh ;) 4)G.G.- A very, very chic lady, author/creator of one of my favorite sites, has fabulous taste,I've heard that she's "drop-dead gorgeous", she linked to The Buzz this week
5) Lindsay AKA "A" (because of my bf Lindsey that lives here)- the definition of lovely, a wonderful personal friend, an aunt with adorable nieces, is going to run a marathon, is very emotionally strong and has a beautiful spirit
6)Andie- a fellow south Louisiana girl, Tiger fan, red head, has a great smile and is a great photographer, has lots in common with me, loves Target and wants her own Entourage!! We can be in each others.
Ya'll are so sweet and really awesome! To G.G.- to be in my Entourage, you just say you wanna be in it!! Sooooo, you are. I can't even believe it. Ya'll I'm so flattered... Labels: blog friends, funny

I have stuff to tell you. I'm back from the camp and so much has happened in Hollywood and some real life stuff, too. BUT, Luke is literally minutes away and I've got to put everything away. I am beyond excited. OH MY GOODNESS!

The Buzz... I Know, Finally!
I know, I know- long time, no Buzz. I've had a cold and then a migraine and I'm tired! It takes work to put these together. Today's Buzz is very short and not all that interesting. Sorry. I'm going to be doing a write up on SHOEADDICT SAYS later so, I gotta stay awake..jpg)
Oh, Britney! Now ya'll know how I feel about this situation and if you don't here's a recap- I feel sorry for her. I think her parents did not take care of her as they should when she was a child. She was their "cash cow" and her life/childhood was taken away. She dressed provocatively and sang about things she didn't know. No one protected her, her best interests or her mental and physical capabilities. I believe she married a loser-freeloading-slimeball. I believe she's lost her mind because her hormones are out of whack. Plus, I will not feature every little thing she does in The Buzz. With that said, after an emergency hearing today, Britney was told (ordered) not to drive with the kids in the car. During the hearing, Kevin Federline's lawyer showed a tape of her running a red light.

Christina is having a boy! I bet she still dresses him in dresses, makeup, stockings, etc. She had a big baby shower and Christina Milian told US Weekly afterwords, "Her son is going to be pretty lucky because his mom... she's just awesome." Way to let the cat outta the bag.

Paris Hilton is so scary. I love that shirt though.

My girl, Heidi Klum, wore (AHEM) this to the Victoria's Secret fashion show. WHAT!? Hello, ummm, your butt crack is showing. No, half of your butt is showing- not just a lil crack! HALF of your ASS!! Oh, has anyone seen the new VS catalog with the Heidi makeup? I love the lip gloss and glittery liner.

Speaking of Heidi, I
finally watched Project Runway and I will do a write-up over on the other blog.

Mr. Big is gonna be a Mr. Daddy!! Chris Noth and his girlfriend, Tara Wilson, are expecting their first child together.

The Spice Girls performed last night at the VS fashion show. Yes, I realize that this picture should be below Heidi and her bootay but I'm not really feeling it. They look really cheesy and stiff and silly. They should be the Silly Girls. Ooops, they aren't girls, they are women. the Silly Women.

LIVE From My Bedroom... *SPOILERS* EDITED- 9/28 (2:03pm)
*
SPOILERS*Hey, I'm LIVE watching
Ugly Betty and DVR'ing
Earl. I just saw the "Last season on
Ugly Betty..." and I remember it all. For all of you who like this sorta info, Santos
was gonna die, the guy who plays him was in another show that got canceled (
Drive). OH. I. LOVE. IT. "You've taken a lover! And that lover has a creamy center." I'll be back! SPARKLE and DAZZLE!!
**I'm back! OK, OMG- Alexis doesn't know that she is ALEX! Whoa, that's gonna be WHOA. I do not like that Santos is really dead. That broke my heart. Does anybody want Betty and Daniel to get together?
Grey's Anatomy- How funny that they all did Bailey's speech! Christina's hair looks so cute and Izzy is so pretty. McSteamy is HOT!! I love that Bailey said, "you and Grey aren't sniffing each other in the elevator..." to Derek. That was funny stuff. PLEASE someone tell me why in the world are they broken up? George being mean to Callie really pisses me off. Joey, the accident victim who is eating everything in sight, that is CAH-RAAAAZY. And Lexie the sister, hello, bad timing much! Ya think she could've waited an hour to introduce herself? Overall, I'm totally digging this
Grey's and I know that I'm not gonna jump ship. I just want to understand why Meredith and Derek are broken up. Oh, well, 30 more minutes left, maybe I'll learn something.
- If George and Lexie hook up, that will really make me mad. He'll be just outta control. So, the Joey guy had a disease that caused him to eat everything in sight. Well, I think I have that! J/K... The Mark/Derek dynamic is a great one. I really liked Izzy's "You can bitch and moan about it or you can adjust your expectations... " speech. That's a great way to look at things, right?
As far as CHANGE goes, I'm not good at it at all. I've never been. I just have to adjust.
What do you think about Meredith and Derek breaking up? What do you think about George & Izzie? Did you miss Addison & Burke? Big Shots- What's the deal with trannies on the premieres this week? I'm DVR'ing this so, I'm going to read a little and go to sleep. I'm so tired.
Still waiting on DVR:
Beauty and the GeekKid NationDirty Sexy MoneyTim Gunn's Guide to StyleBeauty and the Geek- Is anyone besides Lori and me watching? My heart broke for Tony. I think Sam is gross. Nicole is a cutie. I thought that the right people won each competition, though. Even though Sam is a skeeve, he did well at the debate because he debated- he had a rebuttal.
Kid Nation- This show is fantastic and I cannot stand all the whiny people who think it's abusive or whatever. I have not read
Lord of the Flies but, I am very interested in doing so.
HOLLY, do you have a copy I can borrow? Maybe the next time you come home? Let me know! Anyway, these kids are learning skills (cooking, social skills, money management, responsibility,etc...) that are very important in life. They are able to go home if they want. They are not out there alone- get real. They are just NOT being "coddled" like kids are so used to today. I'm only 26 but, when I was a kid, things were different. Now, "every body's a winner", kids get overly praised for everything, and are never allowed to get dirty or hurt. I have TONS more to say about this subject but, this is not the time. Bottom line- like the show a lot. The kids are so cute- Mike, Laurel, DK, the funny one on the red team, Sophia...
Dirty Sexy Money- I heart this show too! I cannot believe that I'm falling in love with all these new shows. Peter Krause (
Six Feet Under) plays Nick George and he's so good. The Darling family is a guilty pleasure I can sink my teeth into for sure. There is also a murder mystery and can Nick really trust the Darlings???
Big Shots- Dylan McDermott being a bad boy- yummy! I loved this show, too and I didn't want to at all. Only because my butt is never gonna leave the TV. I've always loved TV but, this is just ridiculous!! Michael Vartan, Christipher Titus & Dylan McDermott all make up a pretty, funny, naughty cast. It's very
Sex and the City with men. It's staying on my list.

Monday Night TV- What I Watched (UPDATE)
I'm kinda "live" blogging at 8:14pm in the middle of
Two and a Half Men. Luke's not home and I really don't feel like doing much else, so... Hey! No laughing at me.
I did the whole CBS thing tonight. I'm
DVR'ing Dancing with the Stars. Does no one else have a problem with the recording 2 shows and must watch one. That is really gonna hurt me! I forgot to call about another
DVR. Does anyone know the price for a second one?
How I Met Your Mother- I never watched this show before, or I've only seen bits and pieces here and there. LINDSEY and KATE convinced me to give it a try. It was funny and OH MY! Mandy Moore was on as a guest star. Love her. I know that the "band camp" girl and Marshall (?) got married.
Doogie Houser is gay in real life and on this show is a man whore. Robin and the guy who is young Danny Tanner broke up and he was
sooooo upset and got a tramp stamp. OK
The Big Bang Theory- I loved this show! I liked David from
Roseanne. **SPOILERS, I GUESS**
Two and a Half Men- I'm laughing so hard. Dressing Jake all in beige because it's not affiliated with a gang, Charlie's "itch" ("Does this look infected to you, Alan?.... "Well, I'm not asking you to tickle it!"), Jake calling Charlie while he was in the backseat and Charlie was in the front seat. Charlie and his allergic reaction!
Rules of Engagement- I'm gonna watch this. I. MUST. EAT. That whole snoring thing. That is
sooooooo Luke and me. Me trying to slap him to shut him up, him acting like he has no clue what I'm talking about, him waking up and saying "Well, you wanna do it, then" I just wanted to SMOTHER you! Okay, going find food.
I guess I'm gonna do
CSI:Miami. I love
Emily Procter. Is she still on the show?
UPDATE- I watched the very beginning of
CSI, then Lindsey called and I wasn't all that interested in the show. I also watched
The Bachelor during commercials when I watched
Rules. He (Brad) is not cute and is a cheese ball. He said the same thing to every girl. "Hey, Can I steal a hug?" "I can't wait to spend time with you inside!" What a nerd. Yuck. All of it is gross. I started watching when he was sitting down with Chris and Chris was asking him if he was a millionaire. What does he do? He says his family knows the track record of the show and that's why they support him being on,
ummm, huh? The show has a terrible track record! The fishing guy (Byron, Brian) is still with his girl but, not married. Charlie O'Connell is still with his girl but, not married. The last bachelor and his girl just broke off their engagement. Whatever, end of rant.

Catfight Part 2
http://www.tmz.com/tmz_main_video?titleid=1125900995Click here to watch Faith tell the lady to hop off Tim's balls. Check her out in the bottom left corner. She's all swaying to the music like it's all the time happings in their world. Oh, yeah, me too. Always slappin' hands off Luke's balls- his maybe!!
Then she says, "Yeah", like nothing is going on. And Tim is strutting around in his tight leather outfit, letting Faith act like white trash with the white trash ball-grabber. CRAZYNESS

That Lady Just Wanted To "Live Like She Was Dying"
Faith Hill and Tim
McGraw made a stop at the
Cajundome in Lafayette, LA on their Soul2Soul tour (gag me). And it was memorable. Apparently, some girl grabbed Tim in his, um, area, while he walked between a barricade and the stage to greet fans. Well, guess
Faithy-Pooh didn't think she should feel him "Breathe" because she was NOT HAPPY. Click on the link to check it out.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tA6q1qEfW-k**It's been
deleted! Oh, and it was so funny!! Faith leans down in front of the whole crowd and tells the "area-grabber", "SOMEBODY NEEDS TO TEACH YOU SOME CLASS, MY FRIEND! YOU DON'T GO
GRABBIN' SOMEBODY ELSE'S,
SOMEBODY'S HUSBAND'S BALLS [don't be mad at me],YOU UNDERSTAND ME? THAT'S VERY DISRESPECTFUL!"
I just think this is hilarious. No, I don't think anyone should grab anyone else. I don't condone the grabbing of other people's husband's "areas". Hell, I don't think people should be grabbing their own husband's "areas" in public. Everyone needs to keep their damn hands to themselves. But, seriously, she looks like a fool. Tim can handle himself.
The two of them just rub me the wrong way. They are just gross and so "we are perfect and rich and better than you" It's not REAL. No one is pretty, talented, happy, rich, PERFECT all the damn time. But, she tries to perpetuate this
appearance and it's gag-me-with-a-plastic-spoon. Soul2Soul. Whatever.

I like the idea of giving my kids my maiden names as one of their middle names (not as a hyphenated last name) and I get grief. But not from Luke. I like the name Vivianne (pronounced "Vivi Anne" not Vivian) and NO ONE likes it. Lin, Mom, Luke, everyone hates it. Luke says it sounds "old". I love it and love "Vivi". I also like Evelynn (Eve Lynn). Evie. No one likes that either. But, Lindsey likes HOUSTON for a boy. Yuk. Labels: baby names, Celebs, funny

Some People Should Not Be Allowed to Even Have Kids Much Less Name Them
*I got this from a site about very bad baby names. I found it on Kelli's site. Some of it is actual letters people have written and then there are funny comments by the site people (I'm guessing). There is another section where people send in funny/crazy/dumb names that they've heard. The Red is the comments made by the site person (or whatever). The green me.Can I just tell you that I was laughing SO hard, out loud, SO hard! Letters people have sent in:I used to
work with a
girl named Kakiya Sharmika (she went by Mikki). Mikki had a daughter who went by Deedee, but her real
name was Dezandra Marquesa (a little too close to "
disaster" for my taste).Anyway, one day Mikki was filling out a kindergarden application for Deedee, and when she got to the field for middle name, I swear, she actually asked me, "How do you spell 'Marquesa'?" I think in general, it's a good idea to know how to spell a name before you attach it to your child.
Reminds me of the time my MIL spelled Louis' name L-E-W-I-S. And then fought with us that she was right!! When my son was born January 2003 at Rush Presbytarian St. Lukes Hospital in Chicago, there were twins named Thunder and Lightning.
My {acquiaintance's} granddaughter's name is Surrender... as in "surrender to the Lord." Supposedly Surrender is the name of a great, great grandmother who was actually Surrender Lee... and yep, you guessed it, born around the time of Robert E. Lee's surrender.
An {acquaintance} of mine gave her daughter up for adoption, but not before saddling her with this ill-spelled moniker: Brie'Yonna. It's got everything... awful spelling of a normal name, a Y, mid-name capitalization, and an apostrophe. Not to mention that the mother had no idea that brie is a cheese.
People LOVE to do this- throw in a "y" and we'll make it look special. No, it makes it look illiterate. My kindergarten teacher was named Velveethra.
The title above this read "Japenese Monster or Urinary Infection". That made it much funnier.QuestionsWhat about Bubba for a boy. a great unusual name
Since when did your Ozark shack get Internt access? Or electricity, for that matter? what about Jackie-O for a girl or Sinead?
Tough call. It all hinges on what hairdo you were planningOne of our "requirements" for a name is that the first and middle initials will sound nice together to make a nickname. I grew up as Brandy to some and BJ to others ....quick and easy nickname that kids may not make as much fun of.
For 15 years poor Brandy never understood why everyone snickered after calling her by her nickname. Or why all those football players asked her to the prom. They were so rough in the back of the limo. Guess they thought she was a different kind of girl.
I think it's good to name your baby a name different from anyone else baby, because there is so many people who have the same name your baby have or it's very difficult. Also, it's hard to name your baby a different name, because when you think that no-one have that name there will be someone who have the same name your baby have when think you have named your baby different. so, you really can't think of any name that's different from anyone unless it's something made up.
I really, really hope English is this person's second or third language, and if she were writing in Albanian or Forsi or whatever she would be so eloquent you'd weep. I laughed so hard at this one.
My to-be husband has a thing for "unique" names. He likes names such as "Veto" and "Enobi". I like what I call "cool" names. Then names such as "Kiki" and "Jack". We were having dissagrements with baby names till I smacked him upside the head and phrohibid him from naming my children.
Well, I phrohibid you from having kids at all.
Although, it is nice to know who originated the slang use of "cool"- it's this lady. (They're what I like to call --big finger quotes--COOL names.")And now we know she's prone to violence against her fiance for wanting to name kids Veto so they can star in Schoolhouse Rock segments about the three branches of government!
Help me Kobi-Wan Enobi, you're our only hope! God, some kiddies have no chance
What is a nature realated name for a boy? I am pregnant with a boy and I already have four girls. My girls are Summer Skies, Autumn Night, April Shower, and Spring Flower. Please help I am due in November. Star Light
Star Light- Star light, star bright, first star i see tonight. I wish i may, I wish I might, let this lady be a mental patient whose "children" are actually straws she stole from the hospital cafeteria. Laughing so hard it hurts
I love names. I think it's horrible what some people do to their children when naming them. I've got naming babies on the brain because of Lindsey's sister, Hollie. She is pregnant for a boy and we have been talking about possible names. Her husband is a jr and he (and his parents) want to name the baby the III and she doesn't. I've sent her some boy names I like. I have lists of both sexes of names that I love. The boy name list for me to use is very short as Luke HATES everything. He wants to name our son Herschel Walker. After this person. Seriously. We do both like Holden. He is a II (not a jr) but says he doesn't want a III. I like Lukas and he said he does, too. We'll cross that bridge when we get there, I guess.
Also, I've been trying to help Lindsey with a girl name. She has one that they love. I love it, too. But, there is a complicated, possible problem that warrents trying to find another girl name. Lindsey and Luke are so much alike in this category. They hate everything, they hated a person named that, that name sounds like this (not good/positive) word. AHHHHHH!! But, she likes a few other pretty names, finally.
Oh, yeah, and Luke loves the name Sunny or Sunshine for a girl. Yeah.

May the fleas of a thousand camels infest the crotch of the person who screws up your day and may their arms be too short to scratch....AMEN
