Bluck Withdrawl- Shakes & Shivers
Anyone else really missing Gossip Girl? I know that this isn't my TV blog but not a lot of people read that blog so I'm posting here. Anyway, I heart Gossip Girl. Big, big heart. That and House are probably my very favorite shows. Gossip Girl does have some good stuff coming up next year. **Possible SPOILERS!!- I hear that Blair and Nate may be getting close again. Hmmmm? I love Chuck and Blair. But, if they were to actually get together for real, it wouldn't be nearly as fun, right? Also, Dan and Blair will play opposite each other in the school play. What does that mean for the rivals? January 5th is the first episode back and it's called, "In the Realm of the Basses". We meet Bart Bass' brother, Jack, and Chuck spirals downward in a bender in Bangkok. The January 12th episode is called "Gone With the Will," and in it Chuck finds out that per his father's will, he will become the CEO of Bass Industries. He also agrees to Jack becoming his legal guardian. Then, the January 19th episode is called, "You've Got Yale," which means that the college of choice by Blair (and more) is at the fore front. (Did ya'll know that in the GG books, Blair's mom and Cyrus have a baby and Blair names her Yale.) Other TV dates to look forward to-- Lost is back! Season 5 begins on January 21. I think I should re-watch season 4 in January so I'm not confused. I take Lost very seriously. I'll probably do a recap on the TV blog after the episodes.
- House is returning on Mondays in April. APRIL? I'll be checking into this and give you more info as I get it...
- 90210 is back January 6th

My Mr Big
I'm watching Sex and the City on TBS. The episode, "My Motherboard, My Self" where Miranda's mother dies and Carrie's motherboard crashes. Aidan was always my favorite of Carrie's loves. I thought he was so adorable and sweet. John Corbett is a cutie. Did ya'll know he is dating Bo Derek?

Lindsey and I spent lots of time at Alex Box Stadium when we were, ahem, younger. We cheered our hearts out for Skip Bertman's team- Jason Williams, Chad Cooley, Trey McClure, Warren Morris and of course, MIKE KOERNER. Tonight the Tigers played their last game in the stadium and it's sad for me. I'll always remember that time of my life fondly. We still have each other and we still have LSU baseball even if Mike K is gone.
The boys are moving into a new stadium, to be named Alex Box, also. Alex Box is the name of an LSU football and baseball player who died in WWII. He died a hero and we love a hero here. Read the story HERE.

Every single Wed night in '90s, I'd freak out when I heard that opening line. I loved
90210. Ok, Ok, Ok.... I still love it, am kinda obsessed, DVR every episode on SOAP.net and still freak out. I just adore it. The 90s- oh yeah! (I have no clue who the dude is in the corner with my pals).
It's season 6 on SOAP.net. Yesterday's episodes (there are two) introduced us to one of my most favorite guests evah
Antonia "Toni" Marchette. I love, love, love Luke Perry. Love Dylan McKay, Luke Perry, loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooove
him. I think Rebecca Gayheart is gorgeous and I had very long curly hair that same color then. I hated Kelly Taylor with a passion and was so glad Toni came along. I was (am) a huge Valerie fan. I remember doing my hair with the side swept bangs and the teased crown, a la Val.
I was so upset when Toni died and Dylan left. I still watched and obsessed, of course, but the way she died....

A New Man
I may have been converted to a St Louis Rams fan today. Luke and I watched the NFL draft picks (congrats to
Glenn Dorsey who was adorable when the Chiefs called him) earlier and I was introduced to my newest crush, Chris Long. HOLY HOTNESS.
I couldn't find a picture that was good enough to show what I love about Chris, though. He is so cute. He's also very big which is something I really love in a man. I have never gone for skinny, scrawny guys. I love arms, shoulders, chest.... and Chris has them all. (Have I mentioned that I'm boy crazy?) (I

Racing Heart
Last night was not as good as the night before. My heart was racing and the jitters were back. I was a bit restless. It still wasn't as bad as the very first night so, progress! I never went to sleep last night. I didn't sleep until 10:30-11:00 this morning.
I just came back from the pharmacy and grocery store. Have not been out in awhile. It's cold but, felt good. I sang and danced to the songs on the radio (apple bottom jeans/boots with the fur...). I hate, hate, hate when Luke drives my car and I get in and have to reset my seat and mirrors! UGH!! Drives me crazy.
Last night, I watched regular prime time TV (not Project Runway, yet- I always DVR it). Then, later, I began watching Lost again. I'm down to Season 3. I watched the hands-down HOTTEST episode ever. Maybe ever on TV! The episode called "I Do"- fans of the show will recognize this as the one where Kate and Sawyer have hot and dirty cage sex. *Sigh* 
So, it's official. Yep. I have a new boyfriend. Josh Holloway who plays James "Sawyer" Ford on Lost. He is so smokin SEXY. Oh! the dimples. My first kiss was with a guy with great dimples. 
Maybe that contributed to the racing heart? I don't know. Who else watches? I know that Kelli and Lindsey watch. I am also down with aggressive, crazy, do-what-I-say Jack. I guess I have a thing for bad asses. The next episode for me is "Tricia Tanaka is Dead"- the where Hurley finds the VW van with the skeletons in it. I watched the very beginning of it, where Kate and Sawyer come back to the camp. What is the deal? Why are they taking it all back? Is he thinking she loves Jack because she wants to go get him? I am liking Kate with Sawyer. I like Jack and Juliet. Jack and Kate are never gonna work. He just thought he liked her, in my opinion. I guess I gotta keep watching to see. I might post some of my thoughts and questions on the TV blog. 
I'm reading an Adele Parker book, also. It's called Husbands. I really like it. It's long and well written. I've read another Adele Parker book before and really liked it. It was called Larger Than Life. It's more "chick-fluff" than novel. I have Wicked to read too. Along with the other books you saw. Plus, I know there are some others... somewhere. Matthew McConaughey announced on his website Tuesday that he and his girlfriend, Camilla Alves, are expecting a baby. She is three months along. He is so beautiful. 
These are some pictures from a photo shoot with Matthew and Kate Hudson. They star in the upcoming movie Fools Gold. I always thought they would make a great couple so, I loved these pictures. They would make a beautiful baby.

I Want, I Want, I Want...
I have put together an interesting little list of things I've found lately that have caught my eye. Other than the red coat and the digital camera, I want some boots for Christmas. I also found these really cool prints of shoes. How really awesome are they? Right now, I'm watching Samantha Who? the show that gave me my "tag line"- I AM A BIG DAMN DEAL. I even put it on my voicemail. OMG, Eddie Cibrian is on the show! WHOA. Really, whoa. I am going to be posting more over at the other blog.

Shoeaddict's Buzz
What's the buzz? I missed yesterday so some things posted here may have happened or been announced then. Something happen yesterday that you wanna discuss (no Lohan and I know all about Britney and the parenting coach- it's just repetitive- she needs to get a grip)- go for it! I feel better today and appreciate all your well wishes. I love you all!
News from the fam on vacay in France: all is well and they are back in Paris! They have been at a friend's home in the country and LOVING it. They have been in St. Malo (I think)-which is in the province of Brittany. They have visited Normandy to re-trace my great-grandfather's (my mamaw's father) steps when he was a soldier in WW II. He was given a bronze star. I will show pics soon. The above picture is of my mama and daddy in Mexico in April.

Last night, Mark Cuban, the billionaire entrepreneur and owner of the Dallas Mavericks, was voted off of
Dancing with the Stars last night. It was time. He was sweet and dedicated and his pro partner, Kym, is adorable.
I don't know who this baby is but Luke fell in love with him. He's on the WSP website wearing a Conrad the Caterpillar (it's a WSP song) onesie and Luke loved it! I thought y'all would, too.
Carrie Underwood and Chace Crawford have been on numerous dates lately... This is the duo Tuesday night after a romantic meal at Italian restaurant "Destino" in Manhattan. I would love some Italian food. Ruffino's, yummmmmmmmmmm

Fashion designer, Rachel Roy, and her husband, label executive (Roc-A-Fella Records) Damon Dash, are expecting their second child in the Spring. They have a daughter Ava, 8, together and Damon has a son, Damon Jr "Boogie", 14, from a previous relationship.
Garcelle Beauviais-Nilon and her husband, Michael Nilon, welcomed twin sons last Thursday. Jax Joseph was born at 8:30 pm and weighed 4 lbs 7 onz and Jaid Thomas was born at 8:31 pm and weighed 4 lbs 9onz. The boys were about 5 weeks early but it seems as if they are fine. I like the name Jax. I can't wait for the pictures!!
Fires continue to burn and destroy, forcing California residents to evacuate their homes in the worst fires in four years. In the past three days, the fires have tormented the San Diego area in the south and mountain communities in the north. They have caused the largest evacuation in California history, including 60,000 homes and half a million people. My prayers are with these residents.

Grey's Anatomy- How funny that they all did Bailey's speech! Christina's hair looks so cute and Izzy is so pretty. McSteamy is HOT!! I love that Bailey said, "you and Grey aren't sniffing each other in the elevator..." to Derek. That was funny stuff. PLEASE someone tell me why in the world are they broken up? George being mean to Callie really pisses me off. Joey, the accident victim who is eating everything in sight, that is CAH-RAAAAZY. And Lexie the sister, hello, bad timing much! Ya think she could've waited an hour to introduce herself? Overall, I'm totally digging this

The Mark/Derek dynamic is a great one. I really liked Izzy's "You can bitch and moan about it or you can adjust your expectations... " speech. That's a great way to look at things, right?
As far as CHANGE goes, I'm not good at it at all. I've never been. I just have to adjust.

Anyway, these kids are learning skills (cooking, social skills, money management, responsibility,etc...) that are very important in life. They are able to go home if they want. They are not out there alone- get real. They are just NOT being "coddled" like kids are so used to today. I'm only 26 but, when I was a kid, things were different. Now, "every body's a winner", kids get overly praised for everything, and are never allowed to get dirty or hurt. I have TONS more to say about this subject but, this is not the time. Bottom line- like the show a lot. The kids are so cute- Mike, Laurel, DK, the funny one on the red team, Sophia...
Dirty Sexy Money- I heart this show too! I cannot believe that I'm falling in love with all these new shows. Peter Krause (
Six Feet Under) plays Nick George and he's so good. The Darling family is a guilty pleasure I can sink my teeth into for sure. There is also a murder mystery and can Nick really trust the Darlings???
Big Shots- Dylan McDermott being a bad boy- yummy! I loved this show, too and I didn't want to at all. Only because my butt is never gonna leave the TV. I've always loved TV but, this is just ridiculous!! Michael Vartan, Christipher Titus & Dylan McDermott all make up a pretty, funny, naughty cast. It's very
Sex and the City with men. It's staying on my list.

Celeb News- What's Goin' On
Blogger has been giving me fits! I took me forever to get back on to post this so, I hope you enjoy.
PINK and husband CAREY HART are said to be having marital trouble. The couple have been married all of 21 months. CAREY is said to be denying this.
ANTHONY KIEDIS of the Red Hot Chili Peppers and pregnant girlfriend, HEATHER CHRISTIE, have lunch in Santa Monica. I love the Chili Peppers! That's the only reason I'm posting. Their baby is due in October. 
USHER,27, and his new wife, TAMEKA,37, are having a boy. He told ELLEN DEGENERES on her show that he wanted a boy. He also said that he'd name him after himself, USHER RAYMOND IV. So I guess the baby will be the FIFTH. WOW! He told PEOPLE magazine, "I just want my son to be fully coherent and to be healthy, first and foremost." Fully coherent? Huh?? OK- whatever. Good luck with that.

Wendy works at the Bobbi Brown makeup counter and was on her lunch break admiring a pair of MONOLO BLAHNIKS when RENEE came over and the two began chatting about the shoes. After Wendy went back to work, the shoe department manager came over to her and gave her a gift-wrapped box and said, "These are compliments of RENEE ZELLWEGER. She wanted you to have them." It was the MONOLOS!!!! WHAT??? I'm going to sleep in the Saks Fifth Avenue in New Orleans. Maybe Angelina Jolie will come and buy me a pair of designer shoes.
JENNIFER LOPEZ told USWeely that she is not pregnant. Lot's of people think she's lying, had IVF, having twins, all types of rumors are swirling. Who knows? I hope she is.

Update: Isla Fisher's rep says, "They had a beautiful healthy baby girl. Mother and daughter are doing great." OK! reports that her name is Olive.

Fashion designer, Rachel Roy, and her husband, label executive (Roc-A-Fella Records) Damon Dash, are expecting their second child in the Spring. They have a daughter Ava, 8, together and Damon has a son, Damon Jr "Boogie", 14, from a previous relationship.
Garcelle Beauviais-Nilon and her husband, Michael Nilon, welcomed twin sons last Thursday. Jax Joseph was born at 8:30 pm and weighed 4 lbs 7 onz and Jaid Thomas was born at 8:31 pm and weighed 4 lbs 9onz. The boys were about 5 weeks early but it seems as if they are fine. I like the name Jax. I can't wait for the pictures!!

USHER,27, and his new wife, TAMEKA,37, are having a boy. He told ELLEN DEGENERES on her show that he wanted a boy. He also said that he'd name him after himself, USHER RAYMOND IV. So I guess the baby will be the FIFTH. WOW! He told PEOPLE magazine, "I just want my son to be fully coherent and to be healthy, first and foremost." Fully coherent? Huh?? OK- whatever. Good luck with that.
