*NOTICE* Calling All Mommies!

Lindsey, my IRL best friend, and I talk about Cooper a lot. We talk about parenting styles in general and she tells me things that she is doing specifically and I tell her about things I have read or seen. We have talked many times about kids and TV. We have discussed the "What is appropriate for what ages", the "Not just because it's a cartoon..." topic, etc, etc...

Lindsey's oldest sister has three children, twins who are 7 and a daughter who will be three at the end of November. Apparently, the two of them were discussing the fact that there are no more shows on at night that the twins could watch that resemble shows like WE watched. Remember shows like, The Cosby Show, Full House, Growing Pains, and Family Ties? Remember TGIF on ABC ? It had shows like Perfect Strangers, Just the Ten of Us, and Mr. Belvedere.

I loved those shows and they just don't make 'em like they used to, do they? Or maybe they do and we don't know where to find them. I am not a parent. Yet. I've found lots of new things and ideas about parenting that I would like to try if I'm ever blessed with a child. I am also a writer and, more recently, a researcher. I'd love for you to help me with my latest project.

I'm going to be sending emails out to all of you who a) I know have children b) I have your email address. It will include a series of questions about how much TV your kids watch, what you do and do not allow, why you don't allow certain shows, etc... I will ask you if you are OK with me using any part of your questionnaire as a part of my final write up, or if you'd like to be used as just a statistic. I want to collect data and get numbers, i.e. 40% of the people asked allow their children to watch as much TV as the child wants.

If you would like to participate and you don't think I have your email address, you can email me or leave a comment. If you have a question, email me or leave a comment.

This project and all data acquired will be used for myself and the blog ONLY. Thanks for your time, if you decide to participate.

Shoeaddict Asks...

Are you named after someone?
Are your children named after someone?
Rhea is my middle name and is a family name on my father's side. I plan to give our first daughter the same middle name. I love family names. Luke is named after his paternal grandfather and is "the second" (II).

Cal is Purty

Cal was entered into the Sunburst USA Baby Contest. Preliminaries were held in Albany, Georgia (near where Cal lives) and Cal competed in the Tiny Boys age group. He won: BEST ATTIRE, MOST PHOTOGENIC, PRETTIEST SMILE and.... TINY KING!! He rocked it. As you can see in the top picture, he is very proud of himself. That's him on stage, clapping with everyone else. The state finals are in Atlanta but Trisha isn't sure if they'll go. I always thought he was beautiful...

Answers May Cause You to Think Differently of Me... Beware!!

I stole this meme from Stella's blog. I love a meme, y'all know that! I've never seen this one before and I was very honest in my answers.

1. How many hours of sleep did you get last night? It's so erratic these days. I went to sleep at 9:30, woke up at 1:00 am or so with a migraine and then didn't go back to sleep until 4 0r 5. Then, I woke up at noon.

2. Are you content with your life? I love my husband, my family, my friends. I do not like being sick, fat, medicated, in pain, etc... It could be so much worse, of course. I'd like MORE in my life and I'm working on it. I'm very lucky to have my strong faith, a husband who loves me and friends and family who are supportive and wonderful.

3. Whom do you trust the most? Mom, Daddy, Luke... I know it should be all Luke but, I'm still very close to my parents and that's just the way it is.

4. Would you change anything about your life right now? Sick

5. Are you in a relationship, and if so, with whom? I am married to Luke and have been for 4 years and have been with him for 8. I love him madly and we have a good marriage.

6. Whom was your last relationship with? Satan, DJ Jazzy Satan (you won't get that unless you are Sarah C., Linds, Mom, etc...)

7. Are you a virgin? Why yes, yes I am

8. How many times have you done illegal drugs? The only illegal drug I've done is smoke pot. That's been YEARS ago and maybe 10-12 times.

9. What were your grades like in school? My grades were always really good. I did exceptionally well in English. I had trouble in Math and later in high school, Chemistry.

10. Next time you’re going to get drunk? Not really planned, I am not a big drinker. I get buzzed VERY quickly and it's a surefire trigger for a migraine- not really worth it. Though I've had some great martini's at various restaurants (and a sip of Justin's mojito at the Cheesecake Bistro that was killer!)

11. Would you hook up with any of your exes again? Never

12. Do you think you are intelligent? I do, I did. There were tests to prove it at one point.

13. There was no #13 and that annoys my OCD so I’ve put this here so I can have a complete list. The girl I stole this from had this sentence. I don't have OCD about things like that.

14. Time you woke up today? 1:00 am, 12:00 pm

15. Is your hair dyed? Do you want to dye it? Yes, it's high & lo-lighted but, I'm going back to my natural color or closer to it. I want it auburn.

16. Are any of your friends pregnant? Lindsey's sister, HOLLIE, is pregnant for her first child, a boy. She is due at the end of October. My cousin, JENNIFER, is pregnant with her third child and is due at the end of March.

17. Worst habit? Procrastinate, disassociate/denial, cussing

18. Current annoyance? I have a lot- rude people, my neighbors who are loud to just be loud, Luke snoring and Luke snoring. I also get annoyed by the incorrect use of to/too/two, there/their/they're and your/you're. I guess I shouldn't though because I'm a terrible speller and I'm comma crazy plus I know I'm not doing punctuation correctly.

19. What are you most procrastinating? I don't think that is a grammatically correct sentence. Ummmm, I think I'm good. I could be wrong.

20. Are you easily irritated? Not as easily as some people. Certain things irritate me quickly like noises. I'm really sensitive to noises and can go crazy from them.

21. Has anyone ever wanted to fight you? I never heard of anyone wanting to fight me.

22. How many people have you kissed this summer? Luke, parents, brother, grandparents, Cooper, you get the picture...

23. Current job? Creator and author of "Diary of a Shoe Addict", CEO of the Shoeaddict household and Shoeaddict's appointments and medications

24. Do you have any bug bites? yes, always! I have ant bites now from going to the mailbox yesterday. I'm allergic. If the is one mosquito, he will find me and attack me. Lindsey, Luke and I were outside a couple of weeks ago and I got eat up by the mosquitoes. Luke and Lindsey had not a bite on them.

25. Do you tell your parents everything? Not everything, no. I tell them both a lot. I have a great relationship with both of them.

Whoever wants to do this meme, let me know. I think it may be for younger people, maybe not? I love a meme, though.

LIVE From My Bedroom... *SPOILERS* EDITED- 9/28 (2:03pm)

*SPOILERS*
Hey, I'm LIVE watching Ugly Betty and DVR'ing Earl. I just saw the "Last season on Ugly Betty..." and I remember it all. For all of you who like this sorta info, Santos was gonna die, the guy who plays him was in another show that got canceled (Drive). OH. I. LOVE. IT. "You've taken a lover! And that lover has a creamy center." I'll be back! SPARKLE and DAZZLE!!
**I'm back! OK, OMG- Alexis doesn't know that she is ALEX! Whoa, that's gonna be WHOA. I do not like that Santos is really dead. That broke my heart. Does anybody want Betty and Daniel to get together?

Grey's Anatomy- How funny that they all did Bailey's speech! Christina's hair looks so cute and Izzy is so pretty. McSteamy is HOT!! I love that Bailey said, "you and Grey aren't sniffing each other in the elevator..." to Derek. That was funny stuff. PLEASE someone tell me why in the world are they broken up? George being mean to Callie really pisses me off. Joey, the accident victim who is eating everything in sight, that is CAH-RAAAAZY. And Lexie the sister, hello, bad timing much! Ya think she could've waited an hour to introduce herself? Overall, I'm totally digging this Grey's and I know that I'm not gonna jump ship. I just want to understand why Meredith and Derek are broken up. Oh, well, 30 more minutes left, maybe I'll learn something.
- If George and Lexie hook up, that will really make me mad. He'll be just outta control. So, the Joey guy had a disease that caused him to eat everything in sight. Well, I think I have that! J/K... The Mark/Derek dynamic is a great one. I really liked Izzy's "You can bitch and moan about it or you can adjust your expectations... " speech. That's a great way to look at things, right?
As far as CHANGE goes, I'm not good at it at all. I've never been. I just have to adjust.
What do you think about Meredith and Derek breaking up? What do you think about George & Izzie? Did you miss Addison & Burke?

Big Shots- What's the deal with trannies on the premieres this week? I'm DVR'ing this so, I'm going to read a little and go to sleep. I'm so tired.

Still waiting on DVR:
Beauty and the Geek
Kid Nation
Dirty Sexy Money
Tim Gunn's Guide to Style

Beauty and the Geek- Is anyone besides Lori and me watching? My heart broke for Tony. I think Sam is gross. Nicole is a cutie. I thought that the right people won each competition, though. Even though Sam is a skeeve, he did well at the debate because he debated- he had a rebuttal.

Kid Nation- This show is fantastic and I cannot stand all the whiny people who think it's abusive or whatever. I have not read Lord of the Flies but, I am very interested in doing so. HOLLY, do you have a copy I can borrow? Maybe the next time you come home? Let me know! Anyway, these kids are learning skills (cooking, social skills, money management, responsibility,etc...) that are very important in life. They are able to go home if they want. They are not out there alone- get real. They are just NOT being "coddled" like kids are so used to today. I'm only 26 but, when I was a kid, things were different. Now, "every body's a winner", kids get overly praised for everything, and are never allowed to get dirty or hurt. I have TONS more to say about this subject but, this is not the time. Bottom line- like the show a lot. The kids are so cute- Mike, Laurel, DK, the funny one on the red team, Sophia...

Dirty Sexy Money- I heart this show too! I cannot believe that I'm falling in love with all these new shows. Peter Krause (Six Feet Under) plays Nick George and he's so good. The Darling family is a guilty pleasure I can sink my teeth into for sure. There is also a murder mystery and can Nick really trust the Darlings???

Big Shots- Dylan McDermott being a bad boy- yummy! I loved this show, too and I didn't want to at all. Only because my butt is never gonna leave the TV. I've always loved TV but, this is just ridiculous!! Michael Vartan, Christipher Titus & Dylan McDermott all make up a pretty, funny, naughty cast. It's very Sex and the City with men. It's staying on my list.

Did you watch Dirty Sexy Money? Big Shots? What do you think?

What's On? THURSDAY EDITION

Tonight is going to be crazy! TV is going to be insane. I'm so excited. My DVR is going to explode... And if Luke snores like he did last night, I may be in prison tomorrow so, I love y'all and thanks for everything!! Just saying.

On with the TV shows...

NBC
7:00 My Name is Earl- DVR'ing- Earl is in jail & there is a jailhouse bully.
8:00 The Office- Jim and Pam!
9:00- ER- I stopped watching last season

ABC
7:00 Ugly Betty- The season finale- Justin's dad died and I cannot for the life of me remember what else happened. PLEASE help me out. Who wants to tell me what's going on with everyone? I know that the Suarez dad is in Mexico, what about Betty's man, what is his name? See?! This blasted memory loss! AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
8:00 Grey's Anatomy- I'm very mad that Derek and Meredith are off-again but, I'm very excited to see if all the complaining has gotten the writers to kick it into high gear! This show really was a FANTASTIC show in it's earlier seasons and I know it can be excellent again.
9:00 Big Shots- I'm gonna try it! Dylan McDermott & Michael Vartan- yeah!

Fox
7:00 Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?- This is a good show and I love me some Jeff Foxworthy but, it's no competition for all the other shows.
8:00 Don't Forget the Lyrics- No way! This show is not as good as Singing Bee. Wayne Brady is CREEEEEEPY.

CBS
7:00 Survivor: China- I just have no room for it!
8:00 CSI: Crime Scene Investigation- I usually watch these in reruns on A&E (I love that channel). I LOVE the song they've been playing on the commercials for the new episodes- know what I'm talking about?
9:00 Without a Trace- I LOVE this show! I cannot wait for the new season.

<u>CW
7:00 Smallville- I don't do stuff like this but, maybe YOU do.
8:00 Reaper- This show is getting MAJOR buzz! Once again, not for me but, if you go for it- I wanna know.

BRAVO
7:00-9:00- Top Chef
9:00 Tim Gunn's Guide to Style- I like this show but, it replays a lot.

Mad Men also comes on at 9:00 on AMC. I loved this show when I saw the marathon on Labor Day weekend but, I always forget it's on and with my Swiss cheese for brains- I cannot follow anything.

**IN CASE ANYONE IS INTERESTED, MY MRI HAS BEEN SCHEDULED FOR FRIDAY, OCTOBER 5TH AT 8:00 AM. THEY WILL BE LOOKING AT MY BRAIN AND SPINE.**

What's On? WEDNESDAY EDITION- After I watched

**SPOILERS**

I'm running around like a mad woman because I actually feel decent (which is becoming fair-poor) and when I feel this way, I get everything I can done. laundry that is piled up, dishes, cleaning up (we are MAY-JAR clutter bugs), etc... I need to go grocery shopping but, I can't drive. Oh well! So, I'm folding and putting away clothes and going in the laundry room to move the clothes from the washer to dryer. I may have missed some stuff...

America's Next Top Model- I'm watching the judging right now. Yes, VALLEY GIRL, live blogging again! ;) It's so much easier especially when there are so many contestants. So, these girls who cat fight and talk the 'hood talk DRIVE ME NUTS. I'm so sick of it. Sarah is being judged now and she's pretty. Bianca (a 'hood talker with purple/burgundy hair) had weird pics. Janet takes great pics, which I could tell she would because the angles of her face. Kimberly was called a hoochie by Tyra and I don't like her because she was very mean about Heather. Heather is a beautiful pale-skinned, dark haired girl with Asperger's Syndrome . The other girls are mean about it. Well, I should say, SOME of them are mean about it. I know that I have not always been a total sweetheart to everyone but, I've never been ugly to someone with a personality disorder. Salesha won the "dressing up for panel" challenge. I just don't think it was a difficult challenge. They let the girls loose in Old Navy and they were supposed to find a stylish outfit, right? Everything in there is stylish and all you have to know is how to dress your body. All of these girls have the same type of body for the most part- skinny! They should know what colors do and do not work for them. I like (no order) SARAH, LISA (she is ghetto in her speaking but, pretty pic), VICTORIA, HEATHER, AMBRIELLE, JANET... Bianca is pretty but, she doesn't know what is up, Kimberly is a b*tch and a hoochie, Chantal- whoa, HELLO black eyebrows! Ebony is pretty but, her pictures are all stiff. **I cannot wait for makeovers. I love them!!** MILA is gone. UPDATED: Read THIS recap. I laughed so hard, I cried.

Private Practice- I hate the name DELL! What is that? I love Addison dancing naked. Midwifery is a word. I know that because my DREAM was to be a midwife. Amy Brenneman is really fantastic! I loved Judging Amy. The poor lady, Jenny, counting tiles. Mental disease gets to me. It really gets to me. I didn't like Naomi in the "sneak peek" last season and I kinda still don't. Pete (Tim Daly) is a good character until it comes to him being all cheesy with Addison. Remember how he kissed her and was all weird about it? Now, he's still being all gross. I know it's NOT funny (it is) but, that guy died, ummmm, going, in a cup? Then his girlfriend and wife fought over his spearm- loved it. Addison was great with Lucy and her baby. I think, despite my love for her, Amy Brenneman and Jenny-the-tile-counter outshined (outshone) her. Taye Diggs' character is a really good character. I love Addison's "something big" finish. I know this was kind of ramble-y but, that's what you're getting. Sorry. I didn't think it was great but, it has potential. I'm giving it a shot.

Dirty Sexy Money- I'm watching it now but, it's being DVR'ed and I don't know if I'm gonna watch it live or later. The Darlings- what a name! Oh, that Elle Fanning (Kiki George) is so incredibly adorable. She looks exactly like Dakota did, huh?

Kid Nation was DVR'ed and will be watched later. Gossip Girl will be watched on another day. I really need to get another DVR.
**It's Wednesday afternoon and I still have not watched Kid Nation, Dirty Sexy Money, or Gossip Girl.

God Warrior's Daughter Dies

Do y'all remember this woman? She is Margurite Perrin, the lady who appeared on Fox's TV show Trading Spouces and infamously had a big rip-roaring hissy fit. She called herself a God-Warrior and was, of course, switched with non-believers and got all psycho about it. She is from Ponchatoula, LA. On Tuesday, her 25-year-old daughter, Ashley Perrin, died in a car accident. The Hammond Daily Star reports that Ashley was driving alone in a mini-van when she hid a guard rail and died instantly. No alcohol or drugs are suspected but, police do not have a reason for the accident yet. Ashley is the mother of a young daughter who also appeared on the show. My prayers go out to this family.

What was your first car?
My first car was a 1993 red Honda Civic and I LOVED it! It was adorable. It had a sunroof, a cd player and was a great car. I HATED letting it go but my car now is pretty.

Negative

Remember the story about me going to see Dr B, the endocrinologist? He tested me for Cushing's Syndrome and I'm not really sure what else- mom, feel free to remind me. His nurse/assistant called today to tell me that everything came back normal. I'm glad that, for now, the endocrine side of everything seems under control. He took me off one medication and increased the dosage of two others.

I made an appointment for the MRI. I immediately found out that I need to change it, though. Dr R, the neurologist, has a great nurse and she will be so easy to work with. She told me that Dr R has ordered an MRI of my brain and spine. The appointment is for October 1st but, my parents and grandparents and brother are all going out of town. My papa is getting an award, a big fancy-schmancy, we-are-so-excited-and-proud-award so they are all going. They (everyone that is going) are all "in the business" and that's why they can go to the banquet. Anyway, I need an appointment for later in the week.

My headaches have been really bad lately. The migraine med that I take, Relpax, does work, eventually. I have a backup.... Dilauded but, I use it in extreme emergencies. There are several for this: 1)I know that I have a high chance of becoming addicted to this type of drug and I just don't want that. My paternal grandmother died addicted to pain meds and I don't want that. Addiction runs in my family and I just don't need anymore trouble. 2) When I take the Dilauded, I have to take benadryl and phenergan, too because it makes me VERY, VERY itchy and nauseated. The itching is the worse. If I take the Dilauded, it's a bad headache.

I've had such a hard time with memory, finding words, and following some things lately. The cerebellum controls the muscles and movements so, even if there is something on there, I have no idea if it even explains these problems/symptoms. They are probably medicine related but, being on so many medications it's very hard to tell what is doing what. It's very hard, though, to be dizzy and tired and confused. I find myself unable to follow simple plots in books or television shows- at times. I can't always hold a conversation because I can't follow or find the right words. This is NOT an all the time thing, obviously.

Just remember to keep me in your prayers and SEND ME YOUR PRAYER REQUESTS. I need those names and stories of people who need prayer!!

Love to you all! Thank you for your support

Celeb News- What's Goin' On

Blogger has been giving me fits! I took me forever to get back on to post this so, I hope you enjoy.

PINK and husband CAREY HART are said to be having marital trouble. The couple have been married all of 21 months. CAREY is said to be denying this.

ANTHONY KIEDIS of the Red Hot Chili Peppers and pregnant girlfriend, HEATHER CHRISTIE, have lunch in Santa Monica. I love the Chili Peppers! That's the only reason I'm posting. Their baby is due in October.

USHER,27, and his new wife, TAMEKA,37, are having a boy. He told ELLEN DEGENERES on her show that he wanted a boy. He also said that he'd name him after himself, USHER RAYMOND IV. So I guess the baby will be the FIFTH. WOW! He told PEOPLE magazine, "I just want my son to be fully coherent and to be healthy, first and foremost." Fully coherent? Huh?? OK- whatever. Good luck with that.

I'm not trying to be mean (hush it!) but, she looks reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally old.

Here is my LOVAH MATTHEW McCONAUGHEY with his lady in Paris. Doesn't he look yummy?

This is my new favorite person. JENNY McCARTHY is shown here leaving LAX. I just got her new book, Louder Than Words and I love it. I don't know a child with autism but, I find the book fascinating. My MIL works with children who have autism. I want to read all of JENNY'S books.

This is a close-up of her rings. People are speculating about her relationship with JIM CARREY. I don't think it's an engagement ring. It could be a commitment ring or something like that. I believe her when she says that they don't want to get married. One looks like the Tiffany Celebration Swing Ring. I love the look.

BRIDGET MOYNAHAN posed with 5-week old son, JOHN EDWARD THOMAS MOYNAHAN for the cover of OK! Magazine. He is so sweet. I wonder how many times his daddy has seen him?

Why Oh Why don't these things happen to me? EVER? Oh, yeah, because I'm never at the mall... Anyway, RENEE ZELLWEGER was at the Southhampton branch of Saks Fifth Avenue browsing in the shoe department when she met, WENDY FARACINO, aka- Miss Lucky. Wendy works at the Bobbi Brown makeup counter and was on her lunch break admiring a pair of MONOLO BLAHNIKS when RENEE came over and the two began chatting about the shoes. After Wendy went back to work, the shoe department manager came over to her and gave her a gift-wrapped box and said, "These are compliments of RENEE ZELLWEGER. She wanted you to have them." It was the MONOLOS!!!! WHAT??? I'm going to sleep in the Saks Fifth Avenue in New Orleans. Maybe Angelina Jolie will come and buy me a pair of designer shoes.

JENNIFER LOPEZ told USWeely that she is not pregnant. Lot's of people think she's lying, had IVF, having twins, all types of rumors are swirling. Who knows? I hope she is.

Fancy Sarah & Fancy Kesha

Sarah went all out for "FANCY HANNAH DAY" as you can see. She wore a sparkly shrug, a big green ring and she and her friend, Kesha, wore tiaras and carried fairy wands. Good job, Sarah & Kesha! Lookin' good.

What's On? TUESDAY EDITION-After I Watched

I'll have to keep updating but I thought this was a good way to do it for now. It's all fresh in my mind! **SPOILERS**

House- Very good episode! Did anybody guess what was going on with Megan before House? I did not. I should have. Cuddy's outfits DRIVE ME NUTS. I love her but, c'mon! House in his leather jacket and sunglasses, ooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh yeah! I love that guitar, too. He cracked me up with the janitor. I missed the "team" very much and cannot wait for them to come back. I also cannot wait to see him with the newbies.
How do you think House did without a team? Do you think he needs one? Did you miss Cameron, Chase and Foreman?

Next up... Cane!
This show had my blood tingling, my heart thumping and my breathing quickened. It was so fabulous and appealed to so much of what I love. First, I am a sucker for traditions and family. I love being a part of a cajun family that has a unique style of music, language and food. This show features the DUQUE family who are a gorgeous Cuban family in the rum business. Jimmy Smits is so good in this show, just as he's been in all of his shows. I loved the show. I can't believe that Isabel is pregnant though. They have Jamie, who is 18 or 19, Katie, 17 and Artie is about what? 9 or 10? That is a lot of years difference. I cannot wait until next week. This show is great!!
Did you watch this new show? What do you think?

Law & Order:SVU- "...In New York City, the dedicated detectives who investigate these vicious felonies are members of an elite squad known as the Special Victims Unit, these are their stories... " **clang, clang** I love Mariska, she is one of a handful of women who can pull off that kind of cut. Also, I love, love, love Ice-T- despite myself! Well, I love him on the show. I love them all- Munch, Elliot, etc... OMG! Miranda is on the show (yes, I'm blogging while watching!). She is an amazing actress. Oh, Lawd, Miranda done loss her min, OK- I'll be back. OK- I've just finished and WOW!! What an awesome episode and a fabulous performance by Cynthia Nixon. This particular subject of Disassociate Identity Disorder is something I am somewhat familiar with and have a little bit of knowledge about. I was diagnosed with Dissociative Disorder in 2001. I was in intense (VERY) treatment after having a breakdown of sorts. I was sexually abused in a relationship for 3 years from the ages of 15-18. That's enough about that for now. I do not/did not have D.I.D but, spent a lot of time with quite a few women who did and it was fascinating. At first it was scary but, then, after getting to know these ladies, it was just very sad.
OK- the show, the writing and acting were all stellar. I know that so many people criticise and make fun of all the "Law & Orders" and the spin offs but, I think they are all really good.
Do you watch SVU? Do you have any knowledge of D.I.D?

I'm saving Beauty and the Geek for later.

Thanks to all of you who sent well wishes! Here's what's on my DVR:

House- I love HUGH LAURIE and I cannot wait to see what he'll do without a team!

Beauty and the Geek- I forgot this show was even on but, noticed it when I was setting my DVR.

Law & Order: SVU- I love, love, love this show and it's one of the only non-sports shows Luke watches.

Cane- CANNOT WAIT to see this. I'm dying!!!

If I had a better DVR I'd do Dancing. I will wait until the numbers dwindle.

Celeb News- What's Goin' On UPDATE- Charlotte Church's baby's name

I'm feeling MUCH better this morning so, let's get cranking on the celebrity scoop! I've got some stuff to tell y'all so get your beverage of choice and and opinions and let's do it.
Salma Hayek had a baby girl named VALENTINA PALOMA PINAULT. The only details released by the actresses publicist are, "Mother and daughter are doing well." Salma, 41, entered the hospital on Thursday. Salma's fiance is Francois Henri Pinault, the 45-year old CEO of luxury goods firm PPR (owner of GUCCI and YVES ST. LAURENT). He has two children from a previous marriage- son, Francois,9 and daughter, Mathilde, 5 1/2.
I can't wait to see this baby! (UPDATE- "Pinault is pronounced PEE-NO")

Production on the Sex and the City movie began on Wednesday the 19th. These pictures were taken on the streets of New York.
So many people are saying what they hope/want to happen in the movie so, what do you hope for each character?

Britney Spears has had a rough week. She has had a rough year! On Tuesday, court documents were released saying that the Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon ruled that Spears must submit to random twice-weekly alcohol and drug testing. She and her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, who is suing her for full custody of their two children, Sean Preston,2 and Jayden James,1, may not consume alcohol or drugs 12 hours prior to being with the children. They were both ordered to enroll in and complete a program called "Parenting Without Conflict." Brit alone must meet with a parenting coach twice a week who will observe her with her children.
After all of this happened on Monday or Tuesday, Brit was seen out partying and drinking heavily in Los Angeles Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. *Sigh*
Then, yesterday, the L.A. City Attorney charged her with a misdemeanor hit-and-run causing property damage and driving without a valid license. The charges stem from a fender bender in a store parking lot August 6. She was captured on video by celeb photo agency x17. If convicted of both charges, she faces up to a year in jail.

This pic is of Brit leaving a friends house late yesterday.
Here is Donald Trump and his youngest child, 18-month old, Barron William. This photo was taken at the U.S. Open last Sunday. I just thought that Barron looked so so cute!! I love curly headed kiddies. Probably because both Luke and I have curly hair.

21-year old Charlotte Church, the Voice of an Angel singer gave birth to a baby girl. her spokesperson said, "A baby girl was born sometimes Thursday evening or possibly Friday morning. Midwives were present at the home birth." Charlotte makes her home in England with boyfriend (doesn't ANYBODY marry and then have a baby anymore??) Gavin Henson, a Rugby player. I read a few weeks ago that she wanted to name her daughter AVA and then some other English star named her daughter that. No name was given. UPDATE- THE BABY GIRL'S NAME IS RUBY MEGAN

George Clooney and new girlfriend, Sarah Larson were treated in a New Jersey hospital after the motorcycle they were riding was hit by a car. GEORGE was treated for a hairline fracture of a rib and road rash and SARAH with broken foot. They received medical treatment and were then released.

Monday Night TV- What I Watched (UPDATE)

I'm kinda "live" blogging at 8:14pm in the middle of Two and a Half Men. Luke's not home and I really don't feel like doing much else, so... Hey! No laughing at me.

I did the whole CBS thing tonight. I'm DVR'ing Dancing with the Stars. Does no one else have a problem with the recording 2 shows and must watch one. That is really gonna hurt me! I forgot to call about another DVR. Does anyone know the price for a second one?

How I Met Your Mother- I never watched this show before, or I've only seen bits and pieces here and there. LINDSEY and KATE convinced me to give it a try. It was funny and OH MY! Mandy Moore was on as a guest star. Love her. I know that the "band camp" girl and Marshall (?) got married. Doogie Houser is gay in real life and on this show is a man whore. Robin and the guy who is young Danny Tanner broke up and he was sooooo upset and got a tramp stamp. OK

The Big Bang Theory- I loved this show! I liked David from Roseanne.

**SPOILERS, I GUESS**
Two and a Half Men- I'm laughing so hard. Dressing Jake all in beige because it's not affiliated with a gang, Charlie's "itch" ("Does this look infected to you, Alan?.... "Well, I'm not asking you to tickle it!"), Jake calling Charlie while he was in the backseat and Charlie was in the front seat. Charlie and his allergic reaction!
Rules of Engagement- I'm gonna watch this. I. MUST. EAT. That whole snoring thing. That is sooooooo Luke and me. Me trying to slap him to shut him up, him acting like he has no clue what I'm talking about, him waking up and saying "Well, you wanna do it, then" I just wanted to SMOTHER you! Okay, going find food.

I guess I'm gonna do CSI:Miami. I love Emily Procter. Is she still on the show?

UPDATE- I watched the very beginning of CSI, then Lindsey called and I wasn't all that interested in the show. I also watched The Bachelor during commercials when I watched Rules. He (Brad) is not cute and is a cheese ball. He said the same thing to every girl. "Hey, Can I steal a hug?" "I can't wait to spend time with you inside!" What a nerd. Yuck. All of it is gross. I started watching when he was sitting down with Chris and Chris was asking him if he was a millionaire. What does he do? He says his family knows the track record of the show and that's why they support him being on, ummm, huh? The show has a terrible track record! The fishing guy (Byron, Brian) is still with his girl but, not married. Charlie O'Connell is still with his girl but, not married. The last bachelor and his girl just broke off their engagement. Whatever, end of rant.

What's On? MONDAY EDITION

This week, MOST new shows are premiering, or a lot of them are premiering. Everyday I will tell you what's coming on and what I'm watching. YOU tell me what you're watching, DVR'ing and what you're gonna pass.
NBC-
7:00 Chuck- I may give this a try
8:00 Heroes- I know KELLI is watching this!!! I would like to be watching this but, I didn't watch last season so, how can I watch now? I feel that way about a few shows. I didn't watch them in from the beginning and then later in the season, they became phenoms and I felt all left behind. Now, I'm overloading myself (and my DVR) with new shows!!
9:00 Journeyman- Not watching
ABC-
7:00 Dancing with the Stars- I am going to be watching or DVR'ing this
8:30 The Bachelor- I usually do watch this but I'm kinda sick of it. The track record is TERRIBLE and it's the same 'ole, same 'ole...
FOX-
7:00 Prison Break- I don't watch this
8:00 K-ville- I tried this last week and was NOT impressed and doubt I'll watch again
CBS-
7:00 How I Met Your Mother- I never have watched this. I know SARAH C. watches, though
7:30 Big Bang Theory- The commercials for this show make me laugh so, I may try it
8:00 Two and a Half Men- I have watched this off and on but, I don't know... I have to see how my schedule works out
8:30 Rules of Engagement- I liked this show last year. I love the cast.
9:00 CSI:Miami- I watch the reruns
So, Monday doesn't look all that promising for me but, maybe I'll watch something and get a big surprise! I will let you know tomorrow. All this week I'll do what I've done above. The next day, I will discuss what I watched, what I DVR'ed and have not watched yet, what I did not watch. I will ALWAYS warn you of spoilers. Are y'all in???

Sunday Baby

E! News and Dancing with the Stars co-host SAMANTHA HARRIS and husband, Michael Hess, welcomed a daughter early this morning in Los Angeles. The baby girl, named JOSSELYN SYDNEY HESS, weighs 6 pounds, 12 ounces and is 20 inches long. Josselyn also came a few weeks early but is said to be doing fine. Samantha will not, however, be appearing on Dancing with the Stars tomorrow. What a wimp!! KIDDING...
I like her. She's very pretty. She has a sorta cheese-ball personality but, I like her. All those "S's" in that poor child's name, though. At least it's a name.
In other news, my DVR is killing me! I had no idea you couldn't be recording 2 shows and watch another! Gah.... I DO NOT want to have to make all these choices. I wonder if it's really expensive to get another box... hmmmmmm....
I watched 2 movies on "TV IN DEMAND"- "Because I Said So" and "Little Children." The first on has Diane Keaton, Mandy Moore, Lauren Graham, and Piper Perabo. It was funny and cute.
"Little Children" stars my FAVORITE Kate Winslet, Jennifer Connely & Patrick Wilson (very pretty). I loved this movie. LOVED it.
Finally, SO mad that it wasn't the premiere of Desperate Housewives.

I think This is Pretty Right

You Are An INFP
The Idealist
You are creative with a great imagination, living in your own inner world.Open minded and accepting, you strive for harmony in your important relationships. It takes a long time for people to get to know you. You are hesitant to let people get close. But once you care for someone, you do everything you can to help them grow and develop.
In love, you tend to have high (and often unrealistic) standards. You are very sensitive. You tend to have intense feelings.
At work, you need to do something that expresses your personal values. You would make an excellent writer, psychologist, or artist.
How you see yourself: Unselfish, empathetic, and spiritual
When other people don't get you, they see you as: Unrealistic, naive, and weak
What's" Your Personality Type?

What's Goin On- Non-Celeb News (UPDATE- 10:19 PM)

I watched What Not to Wear last night. I love that show and would love to have Stacey's job. I would love to be their friend because they are hilarious. I don't think that Stacey is pretty per Se, she is attractive, though. Last night, the first episode was about a girl who had dreadlocks for 10 years. Uhhh! You could smell her through the TV. Her clothes had holes and stains and Stacey cracked me up. Neither one of them wanted to touch her, her hair or her clothes. She had some kind of wonky pinkie toe thing going on, too. Oh, and dreadlock girl- her name was KRISTEN! Great. She had the shoes with HOLES in them where her wonky pinkie toe poked out and it was weird.
I love when Stacey says, "If those were the last shoes on Earth, I'd cut off my feet!"

I'm watching this weeks America's Next Top Model. I'm not going to lie. I cannot because people who know me (Lin, Sarah C., Mom) read this and WILL call me out because they are like that!! I am not the type of girl who thinks she's ugly. Fat, yes. I've never been the type who thought I was ugly because I'm not. I don't think I'm about to knock Heidi Klum off her pedestal but, ugly I am not. Anyway, I am still amazed at these girls on ANTM. When I was younger and thinner, I was not bitchier. I can't believe the mean that some of these girls spew at each other! I guess it makes for good TV but, I just want to see pretty locations, clothes and makeup. Oh, and Nigel- he's a hottie. I also love Miss J and Jay the director. Tyra. *sigh* I have so many different feelings about her. She's over-the-top which I don't have a problem with as I've been known to have a certain flair for the dramatic. She is just a little inconsistent at times with her beliefs.

Tonight, as I was driving down to the little grocery to get milk, I got to listen to one of Luke's CD's that he just made. Green Day's "Time of Your Life" came on and stirred up my feelings. Green Day has been a band that Luke and I have enjoyed during our love. Luke and I are music people. He plays the guitar. We bonded over that because I grew up listening to my beloved daddy playing the guitar. We also really, really, really loved Nirvana. I remember being in a very different stage my freshman year than my friends. I listened to Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Better Than Ezra, Smashing Pumpkins,Bush, Stone Temple Pilots and I had a flannel shirt that I wore ALL.THE.TIME. But, I was still totally girly and boy CRAZY and what not.
Luke was like me but, a boy! He was a very popular (I was NOT popular) football player who had lots of friends and girl friends. He was a jock, a prep, and into all the grunge band stuff. Now, we are the same way. We love "jam bands" like Widespread Panic. Luke is a major Grateful Dead fan. We just don't fit into a mold.
Back to the song. "I hope you had the time of your life." The time of your life. WOW. When have you had the time of your life? That's a big question, for me anyway. Even though I think it's a Whoa thing, I can tell you when I had the time of my life. It was the first week I spent with Luke. Then, the other couple of weekends we spent together when we were first together. Our first week together was SO much fun. There was the beach which I love. Tons of people and lots of fun! We all sang and danced, played games, talked, swam, and met people. I wore a two piece bathing suit. I wore short shorts (Who wears short shorts). There was drinking, laughing, family, boys. The only thing I would've changed is Lindsey. I love you, LINDSEY!!

*Cooper and Lindsey called me last night and got my voicemail. Well, Lin did and Muffin kept saying "Hey, Kristen! Hey!" I kept the message. I love when he loves me. Don't y'all want to see more pictures of him? YAY!!

My house is a wreck and I have no energy to do more than one little thing at a time. Dirty dishes are piled in the sink and the dishwasher is waiting to be unloaded. There are towels that need to be washed. My bedroom is overwhelmed with clutter. I'm embarrassed to even get anyone to come help me. *Sigh* So, yeah...

I am also getting a little nervous because I finished "Twilight", "New Moon", "Mommy Tracking", etc... I'll be reviewing "Testing Kate" and "Mommy Tracking" by Whitney Gaskell (both fabulous!). I'm almost finished with Pattie Boyd's "Wonderful Tonight..." and I'll do something on it. I don't like not having a pile of books waiting! I do have "Second Chance" by Jane Green that I've already started and I have "She, Myself & I" by Whitney Gaskell. Tell me what to get next. PLEASE!!!

I'm also working on finding a foundation for Jill at EVERYDAY. Let me know YOUR make up questions.

Lastly, TIGERS WIN AGAIN!!!! LSU-28 South Carolina-16. These are the most points the TIGERS have allowed in a game this season. Now, the GEORGIA DAWGS just have to win and everything will be good in this house. (It's 20-10 Dawgs!!)

Dawgs are TIED with Alabama. Oh my heart!! Oh, Alabama just scored a fieldgoal. Good grief. I'm about to have a heart attack. Nick Satan CANNOT win. OHHHHHHH TOUCHDOWN DAWGS!!! FINAL- 26-23. Way to go Mikey! Mark Richt is an amazing coach. I bet Luke done loss his mine...

Crying Out

While praying throughout the day for both Hannah's family and Annie (and a little for myself, too, blasted headache), I found myself overwhelmed with emotion. I cried and cried. I am so so grateful to have so many praying friends. I am so lucky to live in a country where I can pray freely and publicly. I can publicly say, "I am a child of GOD! Jesus died for my sins. I worship & adore Him!"

I am so sad, too. This week has been difficult. I have been sick, poor, useless, & we have not had a sweet happy house. Luke has to go to Augusta, GA on Monday. I MUST try not to be so snippy (can he try not to act like a 10-year old big brother). I feel soooooo yucky.
I'm so sad for Rach. I'm so impressed with her fantastic attitude. She has been a good friend, too. She is such an amazing person!!

This little, Annie, too. How terrible! Praying for her had me weak and so so so upset. I just hope that all of our prayers work.

THANK YOU to everyone who participated in "FANCY HANNAH DAY"!! Take pics and send them to me or send me the link to your blog. Go check out JILL.

Poor Pumpkin

A few weeks ago, Cal reached up and grabbed Trisha's hot curling iron and severely burned both of his hands. He got 2ND degree burns with his left hand being much worse. This first pic is right after it happened. Cal did NOT like his hands being bandaged but, he adapted! This is a week after the accident. His right bandage was removed. As of today, both bandages are removed with the left hand being watched closely and "doctored."

New Shows- Watchin or Passin?

A few shows premiered this week and I watched some of them and I'd love to discuss. Shall we? Let's!

K-Ville- I watched it. Eh! I knew I was gonna have a problem with it, though because of my "issues" with the political media and Katrina/New Orleans, etc... I doubt that makes sense and I'm sorry. I'm not really interested in getting into it. Y'all know that I live about 50 minutes from New Orleans, right? Well, I found the show to be just wrong and kinda boring. Wrong in the fact that it wasn't authentic- we don't have "Gumbo parties" and that could've easily been changed to a fish fry, crab boil, but not a gumbo party. Another thing, no one I know makes fried shrimp po boys in their kitchens! You can get them on every corner, in every little grocery store! Houmas House is not in New Orleans, little stuff like that... I know it's petty but, I'm just like that. Plus, if I'm going to watch a cop show, there are better ones on tv.

Gossip Girl- I am too old to watch this but, I am. I overall liked this show and am intrigued enough to watch again. Some of it is unbelievable and maybe I'm just totally naive but, 17-year olds at a bar sipping martinis? Ummmm, WHAT? I know that teenagers drink. Yes, I am aware because I didn't wait for my 21st birthday to take my first sip (*GASP*)but, HELLO? I will watch again and see what happens.

Kid Nation- I hadn't heard all the hoopla that surrounded this show. I only heard that the critics weren't allowed to watch the first episode until Wednesday and that some people were all flipping out because "OMG, kids by themselves!!" Whatever! Give me a break. Those kids were THE CUTEST things ever!! I fell in love with a ton of them. Mike, Taylor, Laurel, Jimmy, Sophia,Michael, Dk, are all kids this great? I think they were fantastic and brave and funny and sweet. They will fight and cry and be homesick but, not different from the people on Survivor, right?

Back to You- I didn't watch. Did you?

I let my beloved TV Guide subscription run out :( I need to renew it!! Next week is the big week. I'm looking forward to the return of Law & Order: SVU, Grey's, House, Ugly Betty, Desperate Housewives, (ummmmmmmmmmmmmmm, what am I forgetting?)

We did get DVR and it's great except I still have to develop a "system." The DVR keeps yelling at me, telling me- "No more shows!!" Something has to go. I know that will happen naturally. Shows will not be as good as I think or others will be better, ya know? Hopefully! I did not watch America's Next Top Model on Wednesday but, I DVR'ed it. Anyone watch? I watched The Biggest Loser last week but, not this week. I watched Survivor: China last night. James is from LA and he's great. I'll watch again but, I gotta get a feel for the cast.

What is your favorite piece of jewelry?
I love my engagement ring, of course. It's a one of a kind. I met the lady who designed it. It's very, very unique and I get asked about it all the time. I also have my grandmother's ring that she gave me for my 14th birthday. We both have January birthdays and have Garnet birthstones. This ring has a huge, gorgeous opal surrounded by 14 garnets. Ever since I was little I LOVED it. She gave it to me on that birthday and told me she didn't want to leave it for me in her will because she wanted to watch me wear it! I love her.

Praying For... UPDATED (11:38PM);AGAIN on 9/19 @ 6:18

My Cousin Donna- Donna is a 33 year old who had a double bypass as a result of severe juvenile diabetes. She is in the hospital. She went in with a UTI, calcium & magnesium deficiency. Now, they think her kidney is not functioning. That was the last I heard, yesterday at around 5 pm. Please keep her and my Aunt Georgia in your prayers.
Updated- My grandma told me that Donna had a biopsy and it was inconclusive so the doctors are doing more tests.

My cousin Amber- This story is more than I want to reveal but, she is young and needs guidance and prayer.

My sweet Sarah- I've said before that, Sarah C., who comments here everyday, is a great friend of mine. We met our Freshman year in high school. She's a great girl. I love her to pieces. She sent me this today- I have a prayer request. ME!! I have been having "night terrors." At least, that's what I think they are. They are more prevalent in children, but adults can also have them as a result of stress. I wake up screaming in the night, and have no idea. Sometimes the whole thing doesn't even wake me up. I have my fiance and little dog completely weirded out. Stop stressing Sarah! I'm looking up "night terrors to see what they are all about!

Kate- She asked me to pray for her.
Mrs Anne- Mrs Ann worked with my mom when I was little so, I've known her FOREVER. I know she reads but, she's what the blogging world calls a "lurker"- she doesn't make herself known! So, hey Mrs Ann, I know you're there!! Anyway, Mrs Ann's dad died this weekend so, I'm praying for her and her family (she has 3 boys).
Baby Gage- He is sick with "something"- hives or the chicken pox. It's as of yet unkown. Poor mama is NOT happy!
Update- Gage had hives and is feeling better.
Me- I've been having a rough evening. Thanks for all of you who have said you would pray. Naomi, Rach, A (I just messeged you), Diann (my prayer partner), everyone.
Mrs Joanie's family- We are praying for Mrs. J and her whole family.
As always, I ask- Who is praying with me?
**Don't forget to send me your prayer requests!**

What do you love most about your husband/fiance/boyfriend/lovah?
What drives you absolutely MAD?
My answers will now appear in Grey- it's the hot new color-helloooooooo! (So is electric blue & silver, FYI).
Luke is a "simple man." He's not dumb. Not simple like that, silly. He is hardworking and loyal. He is very funny. He is a believer. He trusts in tradition. He's manly. He has a sweet face. I always loved those arms, too! His traits are much like the ones I love about the great male role models in my life.
He also is a "simple man." He thinks a sock and a rope are just as good as a satin eye mask. Although, when he said it we laughed, huh Mom? He has a temper that's gotten better with age. He came with parents (did I just say that out loud?). He drinks. He is stubborn. He follows me sometimes.
**If you are not in a relationship, answer about your last one**
