Life with the Fam

I know I have not written a what's-up-with-me-what-I've-been-doing kind of post in a long time so, I thought I'd go ahead and do that. I'm using the big text (large instead of normal) because I like it. I have a large handwriting so, this is what I'm used to.

I've been staying at my parent's house ever since they came home from France. It's been about a month. It's a two-story house with 5 bedrooms and 3 (?) baths. Upstairs is my brother's room (he lives here), a living room with his couch, big, huge TV and stereo, Nintendo Wii (he just got Guitar Hero- so fun!), his bathroom, the "guest bedroom" (where I'm staying), "guest bathroom", mom's sewing room, another bathroom and I think that's all. I literally get confused!

I've never had my own bathroom before. I shared one with Justin and then with Luke so this is just awesome! Plus, they always have great food. My parents are the best cooks. My mom just got The Biggest Loser cookbook and she made this eggplant lasagna stuff. OH GOOD LAWD it's awesome. It's just eggplant and cheese and tomato sauce, but you could add meat (ground beef, turkey, what have you) and make a meal. Deee-lish! I love eggplant.

After supper is eaten and the kitchen is cleaned, mom, the two doggies and I sit down to watch the shows of the night. Over here things vary a little for me. I have my DVR set at home for the shows that mom doesn't watch and that I cannot watch online (Gossip Girl, Law and Order, etc). There are some shows that we both were already watching (Grey's, Cane, Dancing with the Stars), but she watches some that I wasn't. Now, I'm hooked on them! These include: The Biggest Loser, The Bachelor, Survivor: China and The Amazing Race.

I watch TAR, but it just premiered Sunday the 4th. I watched a few seasons of The Bachelor , but the premise is really sick and the couples never stay together! Now, I'm all rooting for Jenni and thinking Brad has sexy hands. I still think the whole thing is sick, though. I'd never do it. I want my man to have known that I was the girl for him before he "tried it out" with 24 other girls. I don't want to (and am not going to) put on a dog and pony show for anyone to "love" me. No ma'am, not this girlie!

I know I have the separate TV blog. I'ma post over there, too cause I have sooooo much to say! Like where is Dirty Sexy Money? Mama doesn't watch that and I've watched all the ones online but, it seems that we're missing a few weeks. AND I'm loving Samantha Who? (I am a big, damn deal). Yes, ya'll, I know. I'm a pathetic girl who loves TV. And her mama.

I also wanted to let you know (those of you who don't know) that Luke is working. We are not separated or divorcing! Everything is great on the home front. I realize that reading about me being at my parents' house and not mentioning the hubs could make it seem like that. Thanks for asking, though. :) I still love him like crazy and he, of course (!), loves me, too. We are going to begin making baby plans soon, actually. Well, plans are being made, daddy just needs to come home and some other things need to be worked out. Hopefully 2008 will be the year of Shoeaddict's 1st successful pregnancy. *fingers crossed* *prayers*

That's all I have for you now. Except for this reminder- don't forget that I often post more than once a day so, if you see something new, scroll until you see last thing you saw. *sighs at unbelievably stupid sentence* You know what I mean, right? I'm often afraid that things get lost in the shuffle.

Random Randomness

I cannot. Stop. Drinking. I'm gonna drown myself! I drink and drink and drink. It's never enough. I have my (must have) Diet Coke as soon as I wake up, then as soon as I've drank the last drop of that, it's on to my other decaffeinated beverages. I drink Diet root beer, sweet tea, Crystal Lite and water. I cannot stop with the drinking...

My parents and grandparents are in France and then will be in Germany. I HATE when they leave me even though I'm 26 years old. I also don't see any of the four everyday. I talk to them all (except my PaPa) every single day, perhaps more than once. I see my dad more usually. I see daddy during the week and I don't always see my mom. My mom is very busy. She has a very, very busy and important job. She works out with her personal trainer twice-a-week, she gets her nails done once a week and well, she has stuff. I talk to her on the phone and we email. I can get her if I want. Same with my Mamaw. We talk all the time. She is so cute.

I'm making baked tillapia. I put some salt, pepper and lemon stuff on it. I also have a bag of frozen corn-on-the-cob (the steaming bag). Hmmmmmmm, should I make the black beans, too? Input.

Alexis Bledel is so very beautiful. I'm watching a Gilmore Girls re-run. She is stunning and so is Lauren Graham. Speaking of GG, Melissa McCarthy is on Samantha Who? and I am so so so excited!! I liked the show, did y'all see it? I talked about it on the other blog.

I am tres upset about the state of TV tonight! No House! FOX is taken over by Major League Baseball. So, Beauty and the Geek at 7, then ??? at 8, then Law & Order:SVU and Cane at 9. I'm also just adding, adding, adding shows to the list. VH1 is evil. Now, I'm all in lurve with America's Most Smartest Model. Have you seen it?

I had a dream that roaches were in ALL of my food. They were dead but still!! They were in my cereal boxes, chip bags, cookies, pasta bags, tea boxes, etc... GROSS! Probably a sign that (1) I need to CLEAN. Badly. And (2) those foods shouldn't be consumed by me. *SIGH*

I'm sooo boring. I know.

*I know I use LOTS of labels but, whatever...*

What's On? TUESDAY EDITION-After I Watched

So, I know the title is lacking but, I've been using it for awhile now so live with it. Remember this is section is usually filled with SPOILERS!!

Beauty and the Geek- I did watch some of this (it's DVR'ed) but, I also talked to mom on the phone, too. I didn't see who won the gift-basket challenge. The "romance" (showmance) between Sam and Rebecca is gross. Probably because I think Sam is a skeeve. He's all, "Man, that girl is so hot. She is just so fine." Love, true love. Then, for the anatomy challenge, are you kidding me? Earlobes? Left and right? They missed those things. I can understand appendix, kidney, septum but left and right? They should've done toes! PLUS, Hollie was one of my favorite girls but I'm not all that attached and I didn't see what was going on during the elimination part (when there was drama) so, I need to go watch all that.

House- This show is good! It was funny last night. I guess I can admit that it has kinda lacked a little bit, here and there. Just a few episodes last season were kinda boring... OK, I said it! The first two episodes of this season have been STELLAR! House is funny, mean, and quick. He is also, just a tiny bit-dare I say it-human. Do you think? What do you think of the "newbies"? Amber (the pushy-bitchy one, Anne Dudek), Cole (the Morman, Edi Gathegi), Taub (the plastic surgeon, Peter Jacobson), Six and sometimes Nine ( Kal Penn) and Thirteen ( Olivia Wilde). Oh and the old man who didn't go to med school (Carmen Argenziano) I love Thirteen and Kumar (six/nine). They are awesome. I hate Cameron's hair.

Cane- Such a good show! Frank is a weasel. I love Alex. I can't tell the difference between Isabel and Katie, though. That bugs me! And Alex will KILL Henry and Katie when he finds out about the Ecstasy. I'm not saying it's Henry's fault but, you know.... I cannot wait until Alex finds out that Frank is sleeping with (and giving secrets to) Ellis Samuals. Will he tell Pancho?

Law & Order:SVU- It's DVR'ed. Luke watched and said it was "weird"

Looking forward to tonight!
Pushing Daises premiers tonight on ABC at 7:00 and all the critics and others are saying it's the "best new show on TV this season". Are you going to watch? I have to, of course, give it a go.

What's On? TUESDAY EDITION-After I Watched

I'll have to keep updating but I thought this was a good way to do it for now. It's all fresh in my mind! **SPOILERS**

House- Very good episode! Did anybody guess what was going on with Megan before House? I did not. I should have. Cuddy's outfits DRIVE ME NUTS. I love her but, c'mon! House in his leather jacket and sunglasses, ooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh yeah! I love that guitar, too. He cracked me up with the janitor. I missed the "team" very much and cannot wait for them to come back. I also cannot wait to see him with the newbies.
How do you think House did without a team? Do you think he needs one? Did you miss Cameron, Chase and Foreman?

Next up... Cane!
This show had my blood tingling, my heart thumping and my breathing quickened. It was so fabulous and appealed to so much of what I love. First, I am a sucker for traditions and family. I love being a part of a cajun family that has a unique style of music, language and food. This show features the DUQUE family who are a gorgeous Cuban family in the rum business. Jimmy Smits is so good in this show, just as he's been in all of his shows. I loved the show. I can't believe that Isabel is pregnant though. They have Jamie, who is 18 or 19, Katie, 17 and Artie is about what? 9 or 10? That is a lot of years difference. I cannot wait until next week. This show is great!!
Did you watch this new show? What do you think?

Law & Order:SVU- "...In New York City, the dedicated detectives who investigate these vicious felonies are members of an elite squad known as the Special Victims Unit, these are their stories... " **clang, clang** I love Mariska, she is one of a handful of women who can pull off that kind of cut. Also, I love, love, love Ice-T- despite myself! Well, I love him on the show. I love them all- Munch, Elliot, etc... OMG! Miranda is on the show (yes, I'm blogging while watching!). She is an amazing actress. Oh, Lawd, Miranda done loss her min, OK- I'll be back. OK- I've just finished and WOW!! What an awesome episode and a fabulous performance by Cynthia Nixon. This particular subject of Disassociate Identity Disorder is something I am somewhat familiar with and have a little bit of knowledge about. I was diagnosed with Dissociative Disorder in 2001. I was in intense (VERY) treatment after having a breakdown of sorts. I was sexually abused in a relationship for 3 years from the ages of 15-18. That's enough about that for now. I do not/did not have D.I.D but, spent a lot of time with quite a few women who did and it was fascinating. At first it was scary but, then, after getting to know these ladies, it was just very sad.
OK- the show, the writing and acting were all stellar. I know that so many people criticise and make fun of all the "Law & Orders" and the spin offs but, I think they are all really good.
Do you watch SVU? Do you have any knowledge of D.I.D?

I'm saving Beauty and the Geek for later.
