Wild Weekend
Today is day 3 of my 10 days with 4 kids. I'm having a really great time with them but I'm exhausted!! Friday we did nothing all day and I cooked meatloaf and mashed potatoes and corn for supper. Saturday morning, Blue showed up with donuts for the kids. He didn't sleep here on Friday because he worked late. Saturday morning I also woke up with a scratchy throat and a terrible pain in my ear/jaw. M3 and I went to the after hours clinic to get a prescription and then to the store. M1 was at a friends' house Friday night and M2 and D stayed with Blue. I didn't know at the time but they were baking me a birthday cake. Yesterday was my 28th birthday. M3 and I came to pick up the rest of the pack and headed to the movies. D was invited to a birthday party at the theatre so we dropped him there and then the four of us went to DSW. I bought some shoes (that I tried to find online but I cannot) and so did M1. Then, we all went back to the theatre to watch the movie. It was such a cute movie. Then we all came back here and Blue grilled hamburgers for us. The kids gave me an adorable cake and a present. I have pictures. It was really nice and sweet and I appreciated it so much. Today, we went to church. I loved it. I have been to this church a few times but I'm really thinking of joining a Bible study there. I would like to find a church home. This may be it. I met some great people and had a nice morning. After church, we went to eat Mexican food and now we are resting. I have to bring three children back to church tonight for choir and youth group. M1 is 15 and the kids don't have school tomorrow so she has invited two friends over tonight. If you are keeping score, that is six kids for me tonight total! Three 15-year-old girls, a 13-year-old and one 8 and one 9-year-old. It's really not that bad. I am having a great time! I am so busy and I don't have any time to do anything but take care of kids though. I like it a lot. I'm usually not so busy. I'll be back soon but I cannot promise when. Labels: D, life, M1, M2, M3

New Year
I'm excited that things are going to begin getting back to normal soon. The children go back to school, work schedules resume, my tv shows come back... I plan to go tomorrow to register for a class or two. I don't know what exactly I'll need to do but I'm sure that someone can help me. I'm very excited about it. I'm very nervous about it. I went to high school a long time ago. I left in 1998 and got my GED which is something I don't like to discuss. I had a lot of health and personal problems and I just couldn't "do" school anymore. I still had an overall 3.2 average (or something like that). I did very, very well on my ACT. I did very, very well on the GED test (it was a joke). Still, I'm scared TO DEATH that college will be too hard for me and I will fail. I'm extremely afraid of stupid. And failure. I am not so good at the Math. I had some poor teachers in middle school and I don't think that my basic skills were ever very strong. I understand Algebra when it's taught to me but I don't know fractions or even how to add multiple numbers. My multiplication isn't so great either. I will probably have to take remedial Math(s) in college. That is okay, I guess. I need to learn. I didn't know if I should share all this here but I thought, "Why not?" It's like everything else- my addictions, my weight, my depression, my recovery- it's me. I want to have these things written down. I have so many feelings about this subject and writing helps me. If you enjoy reading about it in the process, so be it. Labels: life, personal, school

Scramblin'
It's the Saturday before Christmas and, no, all my gifts aren't bought. Not one of them is wrapped and my cards- not out. Mom is treating Gus and me to a little spa morning (facial and mani for me), and then for the rest of the day I WILL do what needs to be done. I might manage to get my Christmas cards out before Christmas. I'm never this late with them. Oh well. I've only received TWO! I guess no one has our new address. OR no one likes us. Whatever. We do usually get more than this by now. I will chalk it up to the move. I knew I should've sent out "change of address" cards. EDITED- Today, Monday, we received Five Christmas cards. A Little Rant
You are not allowed to say that you are not a "child" person when YOU ALREADY HAVE A CHILD. Even though that child is from another relationship and you were young and stupid then and now you and your new (b**chy) wife don't have time for said child. Get a hold of YOURSELF! Take care of your responsabilites! Grow up! I just had to get that off my chest. Labels: life, mad, pet peeves

Mean People Suck
People can be really shitty, for no good reason. You tell them, "Hey, had a great time with you the other night." They act like a big, huge, giant MEANIE. Guess I'm just sensitive though. UGH, sick of hearing that, too. This is me. How about, you're an ASS! I'm not sensitive, you're an ass... I should get a t-shirt that says that. That is all. Labels: life, sad

Memories-Boys
The guy I had my first kiss with asked to be my friend on Facebook. Oh my GOD! It's so crazy. He is (still) so cute. We "dated" in 7th and 8th grade. He was like my best friend. We were very close. It's a blast from the past... Kate, he lives in Houston now!! ADDED LATER- Okay, so I'm thinking about Facebook and this old friend. I'm also thinking that I just have not had a lot of boyfriends in my life. Not, A LOT. This guy, Matt (oh, the dimples! and like every other guy, the blue eyes!)(Sarah, you gotta see him now), was my first boyfriend. He came to my house and we hung out and I told him everything. He is very smart. In 9th grade, we went to different high schools. We still talked on the phone some but he didn't want me to "get over him." He wanted to be with other girls but he didn't want me to be with other guys. I was trying to fit in at my new school where I knew no one. That is when I met the lovely Sarah. I had no boyfriend in ninth grade, surprisingly. In 10th grade, I was asked to Homecoming by a guy named Brian. He was friends with my cousin, Cody. Cody is two years older than me and we grew up VERY close. Cody and I were like brother and sister. We lived very close to each other but went to different high schools. He went to the public school and I went to a private one. He was friends with some (older) people from my school. Anyway, so Brian asked me to Homecoming and I said yes. We started hanging out and then dating before the dance. Brian was fun. He was not very cute but he was fun. He was a good kisser, too. He also had the greatest group of friends. It was a group of guys that I started hanging out with and loved so much. We had a lot of fun. Brian broke up with me shortly after the Homecoming dance because he met another girl. I was so upset. His friends were still friends with me. There was one friend, Rudy, whose house we would go to all the time on the weekends. This is where my life changed. After B broke up with me, my group of friends and I went to Rudy's house like always. I thought that B was going to be there with his new girlfriend so I got all dressed up. It was all a "big deal" you know. The girls were all talking about it and the boys were all talking about it. I was getting all pumped up and ready to ignore him. When we all got to Rudy's, something else happened. I met the guy that I have referred to here as Satan. He had seen me at Rudy's before and I honestly had not seen him. He had a crush on me, wanted to talk, wanted my number. My guy friends who knew him warned me about him- they told me that he was on drugs, that he was bad news. I thought that was kinda cool. I was young! I never intended to start anything. I remember B being jealous and I liked that. I gave Satan my number and he called. And called and he was obsessed... Satan and I were together for three years. We broke up when I was 18. I turned 18 in January and we broke up in February. I went a little wild then. I was going out a lot. There was a special guy. It was never the right time for us though, just not meant to be. There was also Chad... I have written about his tragic story. He had green eyes, though. Then, unexpectedly in July of 1999, I met my Blue, THE Blue. And that was it. After one week, I fell in love with him. We met, spent the week together (as friends), then met back up in mid-September and have been together ever since. We were married on May 24, 2003. The next blue-eyed boy in my life will call me mommy (or Aunt). See, not a lot. I am just a "relationship" kind of girl. I guess... Labels: life, memories

So Much To Say
It's been so long! I am reading my regular blogs and everyone is just so busy and has so much going on and I feel so far behind. Lots of things are going on over here, too. I don't really remember where I left off (and I forgot to look) so, I'll just start the rambling. This weekend is the big LSU vs UGA football game. It's a big deal here in my house because Blue is from Georgia, if you'll recall. And we live in Louisiana. It's a Civil War. His family (mom, dad and maybe brother)(and a friend) are coming in on Friday for the game and to see our new home. We will be tailgating alllllllllll day long on Saturday. My parents are cooking and my brother and his friends have THE best spot on campus. I'll be wearing the purple and gold and screaming with every ounce of my being. This is for all the marbles! GO TIGERS! I joined calerieking.com and I LOVE it. It helps me so so much! I'm doing my treadmill work as much as possible and that is helpful. The treadmill that I use is very old, though. None of the stuff on it works except for the actual treadmill part. I guess I don't need any of the fancy stuff but it would be nice to know how far I've gone and to have an incline. I'll be asking for a new one for Christmas. My goal (one of them because I have a LOT) is to lose some weight (FAT) before I worry about doing other exercises besides cardio. I powerwalk and then jog and that seems to be working for now. I'm trying to add more time to the days and more days a week that I do it. If you are interested in my weight loss and progress and are doing the same or have done it, let me know please. I have a weight loss blog, too but I've decided to make it private. Just let me know if you want to read. Seriously, who knows where I can find out a good housecleaning schedule? I know that one of you superwives has one or knows one. I read one before so I know they exist. I'm talking about, Laundry and bathroom on MON, floor and blah, blah, blah, on TUES... And if you say Flylady then tell me where because I don't wanna know about cleaning my sink and dressing everyday. I do that. Everyday. If I don't, I don't wanna. Also, on the house cleaning front, who has a Jacuzzi tub? Do you clean the jets a lot? Every week? Every day? Every year? I mean with chemicals or whatever... Thanks! I know there are other things I gotta tell ya'll but I need to move it! I gotta go get milk and then get my (big) butt on the treadmill. NOVEMBER 3 is housewives day! I like daisies and gardenias and lilies and I don't like carnations. I wear a size 8.5 shoe. ;) Labels: exercise, family, football, housework, life, LSU, weight loss

I'm Hard On My Stuff!
Hey ya'll! My computer has been in the shop getting fixed. I've missed being here and visiting all of you. Right now, I've got some stuff I gotta do on the computer but I'll be back tomorrow with a post. Also, I'm gonna be writing at the tv blog, too. I'm LOVING some new shows and returning favorites. I'd like to hear what you are watching. So, tell me what's up... Labels: life, me

In One Box?
I'd love to show ya'll cute pictures of Layla that I took this weekend. Oh, and a picture of my hair. The hair is really not that different from last time. It's the same color and maybe a little shorter. So, I'd love to show the pictures but I don't know where my USB (is that what it's called?) cord is. We also know we packed but have not seen: Blue's guitar tuner My red lounge pillowsome paperworka few bowlsRandom, I know. Labels: life, me

I'm That Good Kinda Exhausted
I miss ya'll but I've been so busy getting things all home-y at our new house. It's really starting to look like a home today. We got our (undamaged) dining table and chairs and stools and lamps today. I'm happy with them. They look great in the room. We went to the furniture store today because our bed is not stable enough to sleep on and we are ready to sleep there. We have been sleeping at mom and dad's house for now. We got the stabilizers and will get the mattresses on Friday. Soooo, Friday night is the BIG NIGHT!! Phone and Internet and Cable tomorrow. Labels: decor, house buying, life

Home Sweet... Not Yet!
We closed on the hose on Wednesday, like I said at the end of the last post. It was really good. It feels really, really good being a homeowner. We have done a lot of things together, been through a lot of things that people shouldn't have to ever do together but this is a good thing. My friend, Melissa, and I packed up my kitchen on Tuesday. I through away all the Tupperware that didn't match (bottoms with no lids, lids with no bottoms- I had lots of lids) and some cracked, smudgy plastic cups. I left a few plates, cups, silverware and pots and pans for us to use. I forgot bowels though. Of course, that is the FIRST thing Blue needed when he got home. Oh well. Wednesday night, Blue packed up my car with as much of the kitchen stuff and our clothes that we had packed on Sunday. I drove over to mom and dad's to see dad who was just getting home from out-of-town on business. Dad had never been inside the new house so he wanted to come over and Blue had to stay at the "old" house to do work. I had never been inside the "new" house (that is how we are referring to the houses) after dark. I was nervous because of all of those feeling things that I'd talked about here before. Plus, ya'll know I have sleep issues. We unpacked the car and I gave daddy the grand tour. He loved it and I was just so happy. I imagined the house with the furniture in it and giving the tour, over and over to more friends and family. Here are some pictures that I took today before the furniture was delivered.

Let me tell you though, I am NOT happy. Every. Single. Piece of furniture has a problem except the sofa and the nightstands. The entertainment center is so pretty (I was worried about it next to the fireplace) and looks really good. But it has a huge, deep scratch in the wood. One of the bed posts is wrong and they didn't bring me the top of the armior. They brought the dresser (which I didn't order) but even it's broken! It's really annoying.
I think that we will be moving our big stuff Saturday. We should be able to sleep there by then, I hope! Blue is busy at work and I still have things to do here at the old house. I'm still packing things up. I'm cleaning and organizing at the new house as I go. It's so wonderful to have the opportunity to start fresh.
What I'm really thankful for is my attitude and energy level. I am still so astounded every time something else reminds me of how LOW I was before. That's VERY VERY low. I'm so far beyond where I was just last year that it's a miracle. I'm so incredibly thankful- for my energy and health, for my house, my husband, my parents, my friends, my life.
When we move in, I may not leave for awhile!

Bedding Down
I've been asked by quite a few people recently about my health (headaches especially) and I've been able to say that they are so much better. They are gone! I have not had one in forever! I'm so lucky! WHOO-HOO!! BZZZZT!! I woke up with one. I spoke too soon. It's not really a migraine though. It's probably allergies because my eyes were itchy last night. It's very windy around here. Also, I'm going through a lot of stuff that is VERY dusty around here. I'm allergic to dust (who isn't?) and my arms and legs are itchy, too. I am hoping that just a few Advil will help the head pain go away. We will begin moving all of our stuff next week. I'm so excited and also a bit nervous. What if I HATE it? What if I can't feel at home there? What if none of the neighbors are nice? What if I buy all the wrong furniture? What if Blue really cannot comply with a HOA's rules? STRESS- hmmmm, wonder why I have a headache! I'm sure we will be fine though. I'm more excited than anything. I'm such a FEELER though. I wonder how the house will FEEL to me. Not just empty and for an hour as we are walking through it with our realtor and the seller. I want to know how WE are going to feel in the house, with our stuff, hanging around. How are we going to feel when we come in the house and sit in the living room to watch tv and relax? Are we going to feel at home? Are we going to feel weird? One thing I am very worried about is my bedroom. If you know me, you know that sleeping is a BIG DAMN DEAL. I have to be in a good position and have the right temperature and the right covers and la, la, la. Like most things with me, it's an ordeal. I want our bedroom to be nice and pretty and comfortable and calming. I have not had a nice bedroom since I moved out of my house when I was 19. Or 18. How old was I? 19? 20? Huh, I don't remember. Mom? I like this bed. (The Villa D'oro) What do ya'll think? I know that not everyone has the same tastes though. I am not all about "clean lines" and "simple" designs. I like traditional, antique-looking, more ornate stuff. I don't know what to do about bedding. Crissy and I were talking the other day on AIM (shoeaddictk) about how confusing bedding is nowadays. I don't know what to about bedding- duvet, comforter, quilt? I want to have something substantial because we keep it VERY cold at night (below 70). Suggestions please! My bedroom color is Medium Mocha (or something) so I can't do the black and white that I wanted unless I repaint. I don't really wanna do that now. I love this but I think that Luke wants something SOLID. I don't know though. I cannot find anything solid that I love. I love this but I am unsure of the whole duvet cover thing. I have no idea what to pick. I like this but it's a quilt (which I like the look of) and Luke thinks it's "too flowery" and it may not be thick enough. He did think stripes were ok. PLEASE HELP!! My couch is very dark brown leather. I'm also getting two La-Z-Boy recliners. One covered in this (his) and one in a stripe-y plaid that I cannot find. I'm hoping it didn't get discontinued. I love it. This part is fun but it stresses me out. I just want to make the right choices. I hope that you have some suggestions. I have to go now. I am leaving soon (one hour) to go order furniture so, anything you can say to help will, ummm, you know, help! Thanks! Labels: decorating, health, house buying, life

The Power
We have it! We left my mom's house early this afternoon to finally come home. Luke and Justin had to run some errands this morning and I stayed behind to pack up our things. Also, I had cramps. Yes, you did need to know that. We got here and I had so much to do. I cleaned out my refrigerator and freezer earlier in the week so that was already done. It was a rough job then cause we lost everything. We had nothing to eat in here so I had to go to the store. Everyone had this idea. Plus, not all the grocery stores have all the stuff. I wished I had my camera with me because the pictures would tell a sad tale. I went to my favorite store first. I had hardly no produce at all- no lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, cucumbers, apples, nothing really. Well, some lemons, butternut squash and very hard avocados. I cannot make a salad with that though. There was no frozen foods except ice cream. I'm TRYING to diet. It's very, very hard to do that in the middle of a disaster. I went to a second store and got some salad stuff and frozen veggies, but not much. I still couldn't find any onions or bell peppers- frozen or not. I will go out to look again tomorrow. I'm cooking red beans and rice tomorrow if I can find my seasonings. (Tacos tonight)I'm nervous about Ike and so is everybody else. I spoke to many people today in both stores (I SO should be a reporter!) and that was the number one topic- how they didn't want to buy too much in case of Ike coming next week. The other topics that is on our minds here- YAY! Our electricity is back on and we are going home or turning our generator off. OR BOO! We don't have electricity yet and we are paying out the hoo-ha for gas for our generator or staying with family and ready to go home. I still want to show ya'll the pictures that I have from Tuesday but I cannot find my cord right now. I'll get to it ASAP. For now, go HERE for images of Hurricane Gustav. Labels: hurricane, life

Aftermath
It's just 12:30 am now. WOW! What a crazy bunch of days this has been. Our power went out at exactly noon on Monday during the hurricane. Our city was hit pretty badly. Our capitol was hit pretty badly. I have some pictures from after the storm hit that are pretty crazy (and probably not that great). During the storm, the wind was insane. Across the street from our house, Mr D's shed door was flapping in the wind like a piece of paper. It's a HUGE rolling door. A very large tree fell behind our house. Another tree in the side yard broke about thirty feet up and landed in the road that runs along the side of our house. A window broke in my laundry room. The screens came off of almost all of my windows, too. Layla was crazy during the storm. She was just restless. We are so fortunate though. We are all safe. I know some people who have had their homes wrecked by trees smashing into them. This parish is filled with homes with trees in them. It's a horrible sight to see. I don't know anyone who was physically hurt though and I thank GOD for that. Also, our new home and neighbors appear fine, too. We are still without power and so is everyone else in the parish. It is said that we will be without for 2-3 weeks. My husband and father work for a heat treating company and so we are very fortunate to have been set up with a full powered generator this evening. It is huge and is running the whole house. We are all at mom and dad's- Luke, Layla, Justin, Shannon and me (and mom and dad and the other two dogs) but we are happy and cool. I have lots of work to do at my own house. Thanks so much for all of your prayers, thoughts and well-wishes. I appreciate them so much! Please pray for the elderly and the ill who are suffering a lot more than anyone else I know. Gustav Updates

Pictures from 2theadvocate and National Hurricane Center We are preparing for strong winds and heavy rains. We are not near enough to the Gulf to have to worry about storm surges or whatever. I just read that he has been updated to a Category 5 in the Gulf. He probably won't hit as a Cat 5 but even a 3 is major. If he hits Houma or Morgan City, we (my town) are going to get hit hard. We won't know for sure until Monday. Right now that landing is just soooo wide- from Biloxi to Beaumont. I'm doing loads and loads of laundry, gathering up important papers and cooking some big meals. We will probably go to my parents house if it gets too bad. I don't want to go to MaMaw's with Layla. She had a bath and didn't love it so much. My head is killing me and has been since Wednesday but I keep trying to get it to just go away. It's kinda ebbed and flowed.
Thanks so much to everyone who said they would pray for us. Please do that! Pray for my family and friends and for my state. I love it here and I hate the thought of more damage and tragedy. Thank you for checking on me. I will try to update you as much as possible.
Also, GEAUX TIGERS! 41-13

Shaping Up and Blowing Away
This is gonna be just a random post of my thoughts and feelings. I was reading over some entries and I don't think I have written enough posts just from my heart, for myself. I want to have a "journal" of sorts for this time in my life. This time when we are buying our house, Justin is getting married and I am beginning my WHOLE NEW SELF. It may be boring for some of you but this is my life and I cannot just write entertaining things. Now that I have written all of this explaining my writing... (what a dweeb!) -We are waiting (waiting, waiting) for the appraisal on the house. The mortgage lady that I am working with, Robbi, says that the house was appraised on Wednesday but we've gotten nothing back yet. I am working on my patience this year, along with everything else and this is trying it. I want it done. This is basically the last step before the final closing. Once the appraisal comes in, we can get a firm closing date and move from there. I'm nervous about the house not appraising for the purchase price. -I have picked out living room furniture (sofa, entertainment center, coffee table, side table, two chairs) and bedroom furniture (bed, armoire, nightstands). I still need to choose a dining table and bar stools. Then, I have to order them. I don't want to order the furniture until the appraisal comes in and blah, blah, blah... I'm IN LOVE with the living room furniture that I chose. The two chairs will have to be special ordered and will take 6-8 weeks (they are being covered with the fabric that I chose) so I want to get.on.that. -Gustav is scaring me. I don't want it to tear down my parents' camp. They owned a condo in Pass Christian, MS and it was wiped out during Katrina. It is a very creepy feeling for the weather to do that. Mother Nature can be a bitch. During Katrina, my mom, dad, grandparents and uncle were in France. Justin, Luke and I stayed at the 'rents while it all went down. I remember going to the store and buying squeeze cheese, Snack Pack pudding and beer. Priorities. There was a giant old tree in my mom's back yard that was completely uprooted. We watched the earth swell and it was, to this day, one of the most amazing things I've ever witnessed. Scary and amazing. I don't want to be without power for days on end and lose hundreds of dollars of groceries. I don't want to be that hot! It's HOT here. I don't know about where you are but it is HOT here. Our little house never lost power for Katrina, though. We had a bunch of limbs in the yard and that was it. I watched all the coverage of it on tv, had some "refugees" and cried and cried and cried. That reminds me that I need to call and check on my NOLA people. Last time, I couldn't reach them. I didn't know they were safe until a full day after the storm was over when they pulled into my driveway. They had to swim thier way out of the house that they had stayed in during the storm. There are so many awful stories like that. -I'm going to start working out and seriously changing my eating habits. I started the work outs with Shannon today and I did GREAT! 30 minutes plus of cardio (treadmill and bicycle thing) and I made it. I feel so good about it. I plan to do it at least 3 days a week. I've already started to try and change my diet but fell off the wagon a couple of times. I'm very motivated to do better. I think that most people (not you) don't believe that I can do it and that is a great motivator. It is not the only one, of course, but it's one. I want to be working out when I get pregnant. We will begin TTC again in January and I want to have lost some weight by then. I don't know how much. What is reasonable? 30 pounds? More? Less? I don't know. I'll think about that. I want to lose a total of A LOT but I believe in smaller goals to help me. I am going to do this. Watch. -I'm going through lots of personal changes. This entire year has been filled with change for me. I got off of the meds that were bringing me down and I feel better than I have in a loooooong time. I am active and comfortable with who I am and happy. I am so happy. The only thing I am unhappy with is my weight and I am doing something about that. Oh, I'm unhappy about where I live and we are changing that. I am also unhappy that I don't have a child but we are changing that. I'm not really unhappy about that right now because I know it's happening. I feel like I have changed a lot. I have grown personally. I will always be me at the core but I have grown up and gotten better. I was talking to a friend of mine the other day about coming home and family dynamics. She was frustrated by her family dynamics and I get that, A LOT. I LOVE my family more than anything but I don't always act the way I want to with them. I believe that people have a tendency to revert backwards when they are with their families. I am not the same center-of-attention drama loving negative person that I was when I was young. Some people bring that out in me and I don't need that in my life. That doesn't mean that I'm not still dramatic or loud or down sometimes. I'm just trying to be better. Live better, have healthy relationships, be healthy, be the best me that I can be. Labels: diet, hurricane, life

I Enjoy Being A Girl
My second cousin, Cami, is getting married tomorrow night. I got my dress (a plum colored jersey) and today I needed shoes and a bag. I drove into town to a new store and SCORE! On the way back home, I was stopped in traffic for an hour. Completely stopped, as in I put my car in Park and talked on the phone (thanks Kel!) and read a magazine.
There was a very bad wreck. While I was parked on the interstate, no less than 10 police cars (and about 5 ambulance) passed. It was freaky and sad. I was in a panic. I took these pictures to show how far ahead the cars were but they don't really show.
See that red car to the left? There was a girl driving it who got out and got her backpack out of the trunk. I guess she decided to get a little homework/studying done while we sat there.
My new black patent leather shoes that I will wear with the dress. Oh, no picture of the dress. I'll get that in a second. I liked these but the ones I got were (1) dressier (2) closed toe. I don't know why I wanted a close toe but I did. Please do not snicker and point at my couch or the shoe and cup in the background.
I looooooove this purse! It's black patent leather and it's dressy and small. Right now, I don't really own a dressy purse. It's not that dressy but it works really well for me. It was a good price and I can wear it with lots of things. SHOES and PURSES two of my very favorite things...

Gustav and Hanna
Tomorrow is the third anniversary of HurricaneKatrina. We are now preparing for TS Gustav which is expected to become a Category 3 hurricane in the coming days. Gustav is in the Caribbean gaining strength and coming right at us. The storm is expected to make landfall in the coming days- Monday or so. Meanwhile, a new tropical depression (Hanna) has formed farther east in the Atlantic. All we do is wait, watch and be prepared. Labels: hurricane, life
