A Little Rant
You are not allowed to say that you are not a "child" person when YOU ALREADY HAVE A CHILD. Even though that child is from another relationship and you were young and stupid then and now you and your new (b**chy) wife don't have time for said child. Get a hold of YOURSELF! Take care of your responsabilites! Grow up! I just had to get that off my chest. Labels: life, mad, pet peeves
Still Tired But So Happy!
- I'm reading a book about Cajuns and it's not entirely accurate and that kinda pisses me off. Still, I'm a sucker for books about or based in Louisiana.
- What are you reading? I need recs.
- How do people NOT read? My parents have always read to us and are always reading books (for themselves).
- YAY! TV last night, right? Did ya'll watch Grey's and Survivor and I have a crush on DAN on Survivor.
- I've decided on the perfect first and middle names for a baby girl and baby boy. :) Maybe even a Diary nickname.
- No, I'm not pregnant. That is the next big project.
- Moving is weird and fun and exhusting and exciting and emotional. Our first night was great and weird. I couldn't sleep at first because it was SO QUITE!! We lived on a pretty busy street and we had those noisy neighbors. In this house, no noise at all. Even Lay was all quite and sleepy.
- Every single thing in the house is clean- all the clothes and the bed linens and everything. That is just amazing to me.
- I don't understand the need to put drunken, whorey pictures of yourself on MySpace or whatever. I also don't understand the need to beat a dead horse. Let. it. go.

Tales Of A Move
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for all of your compliments on my house (I know the pics are not great and they do no justice to my home) and for all of your well wishes. I cannot even explain to other people, my friends and family, how great and wonderful you all are to me. I'm always amazed by your fabulousness. Your love and support overwhelms me again and again and I am very grateful. Blogging was beyond a good decision for me. Today, Friday, my wonderful mom took off half a day of work to help me pack up the rest of the old house and take stuff to the new house. I'm not going to tell ya'll ALL about it because I have some pride but lets just say that it was BAD. We were reminded again of how very depressed and sick I was so so long. I can also see the reason for some of that illness, too. Mom and I were dizzy and feeling not-so-nice after we were in the back bedroom (where I hibernated) for awhile. That is O-V-E-R though; the hibernating and the packing of the gross stuff. Tomorrow daddy, Justin, Blue and a friend of Blue's will move the heavy stuff and the rest of the boxes and bins to the new house and we will sleep there for the first time. I am so ready to be OUT of this house. I feel so different at the new house. I feel cleaner and calmer and just better. I think that so much will be better. The cable and Internet and the phone will not get hooked up until next week though. We don't actually have an appointment time until October 9th but I called again today and they said to call on Monday. Blue needs the Internet at home for work so, we offered to pay them for overtime work and she said to mention that on Monday. Next week is the big premiere week so if our TV is not set up, I'll have to go to mom's every night. I'm not missing that. We also called the furniture store today. The delivery guys are now on my BAD SIDE, too. Here is what happened yesterday- did I tell you this already? Two guys came in a big logo-ed truck and unloaded our furniture. The furniture was still wrapped in moving blankets and clear plastic. For every piece that was damaged/broken/wrong, they made a big deal about how this is par for the course with this company and how they have a 40% discount but would never buy from them. My dad took pictures of the damages, just in case. I also signed the little computer notebook looking thing that one of them had showing that three things were broken/damaged/wrong. I TIPPED them and then dad asked them to come back and pick up their mess and tipped them again. I'm telling you all of this so that you will understand the aggravation of today. Today we find that the delivery boys took our tool that we allowed them to use (why don't they come with tools when you pay them to deliver and set up?). Today, we called customer service and they say that their records show that the furniture was delivered with no problems. The customer service lady told us she was "sorry" but there is nothing she could do. She will send us replacement pieces on October 2. OCTOBER SECOND, yes that is right. They are doing inventory so they can't do returns or exchanges- how is that for customer service? I am going to go and see the man who sold me the furniture. Maybe he can do something for me. My fear is that the pieces I get on October 2 will be damaged/broken/wrong. Other than that, it's going okay. I still have not met any of my neighbors but that is expected. The couple who sold us the house told us that our neighborhood is really great. They said that we have really nice neighbors, next-door and across the street. On one side we have neighbors who are a little older than us. They are the friends of the couple who sold us the house. They are reportedly "great" and "the best neighbors". They just put in a pool- not that my big white bee-hind is going in but they did. On the other side of us is a couple who are closer to our age. I saw the guy the other day while I was cleaning my windows. He has a big tattoo on his back (he had his shirt off) and floppy hair. They have at least two big barky dogs but their house is for sale. I'm so excited to get everything over there and sleep in my new house. I am so ready to be out of this house. We have been in this house since January of 2003 so we have had a lot of memories here. I was very sick in this house. I was very depressed in this house. I want to leave all of that behind and start fresh. ETA- since this is "Tales Of A Move" I gotta tell all of this- We went to WMart earlier and could barely shove all the bins we got into my car. It already had the bins with my pots and pans in it. When I got home I accidentally got my finger stuck between the roof and a bin and it HURT. I had to just stop and calm down and think of how to get it out because freak out and panic= no getting free. After I was unstuck I did the "ouch" dance around the driveway. I realized on the way home that I'd forgotten to eat and that is why I was so hungry. Umm, yeah! I got some food and when I tried to eat it I realized that all the utensils are packed up! I ate chicken, lettuce, rice and tomatoes out of a bowl with a steak knife. It was very interesting and kinda slow. Also, we have only some hanging clothes here. I brought all my clothes to the new house to wash and fold and sort and hang- deal with, you know? I was going to bring something back for Blue to wear after his shower tonight but I forgot. I had some nightgowns here and a VS bag of new underwear (YAY for shopping!) so I'm okay. He'll be fine. He can sleep nekkid. Labels: house buying, mad, me, new stuff
The Buzz
If you have not seen the pictures, scroll down to do so. Also, Ruth came home from the hospital last night. Thanks for all of your thoughts and prayers. let's see what's Buzzin'.
I want to see this movie. Jennifer Garner was on Rachel Ray yesterday and they talked about it. I already wanted to see it but now I really want to. Has anyone seen it? Anyone want to?
The beautiful Charlize Theron's home in the Hollywood Hills was burgled on Saturday. L.A. police are investigating. It's unclear as to what, if anything, was stolen and who, if anyone, was on the property.
The lead singer of the band Quiet Riot, Kevin DuBrow, 52, was found dead in his home on November 25th. The coroner released the cause of death and toxicology results today- accidental cocaine overdose. Kevin DuBrow, second from left, and Quiet Riot are best known for the song, "Cum on Feel the Noise" in 1983.
Hilary Swank in black Monique L'huillier at the premiere of P.S. I Love You. I cannot stand her. I have reasons, most are very bitchy and superficial. What do you think of the dress? I don't like it.
Rumors abound again that Jennifer Lopez is expecting boy/girl twins. She allegedly registered at Petit Tresor in L.A. for the following: 2 cashmere outfits, one blue, one pink- $349 each2 Moses blankets- $225 each1 jogging stroller- $560 2 Peg Perego strollers for 2- $429 each Good Lord with the strollers! Are they gonna never leave the stroller?
Reader Sarah C., who is getting married this weekend (!!), sent me this picture. I had a pic of Kiera Knightly a few days ago, talking about how she should quit with the open front dresses. Sarah saw this and thought of ME! Thanks, SEC.
Miss Lauren Conrad admitted that The Hills does have some re-enactments. I don't watch the show, so I could care less. I have watched when I'm flipping through the channels and there is NOTHING else on because I think it's boring. Just my opinion. Does this change how you feel about the show?
Will Smith finally got his Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. I cannot believe some of the people who've gotten their's before Will has. My "like" for Will has gotten less and less since he's become all BFF with crazy alien freak.
Oh My Sparkly Spice Girls! Look at Victoria Beckham smiling like the cat who got the mouse! I like her. Shut up. She's probably smiling at him (see below)

David Beckham sat in the audience of The Spice Girls' show. These pics are especially for Sarah! Have you seen David in PEOPLE magazine's Sexiest Man Alive Issue? Good God Grady!
Lemme tell ya'll, this is really starting to piss me off! In an interview with Look magazine, Angelina Jolie said that Shiloh is an outcast in her family because of her blonde hair and blue eyes. "She looks like Brad. It's funny because she's almost going to the outcast in the family because she's blonde and blue-eyed. I felt so much more for Madd, Zahara and Pax because they were survivors. Shiloh seemed so privileged from the moment she was born. But I'm conscious that I have to make sure I don't ignore her needs, just because I think the others are more vulnerable." Is she serious? Is she dumb? She must be dumb. She is dumb if this is the way her brain works. How about loving everyone, and treating them all, the same? Isn't that what you do when you have multiple kids? It's not Shiloh's fault who she was born to anymore than it's Maddox or the other's fault. Aghhhh!!! This makes me so mad. I don't like her. She is irresponsible and silly.
Evan Rachel Wood and Marilyn Manson attend the Led Zepplin Tribute to Ahmet Ertegun Concert in London. What else can I say?
... And Dita Von Teese at the Cinema Against AIDS event. I love this outfit. Oh, the shoes!!
I have almost every movie that Julia Roberts has been in, starting with Mystic Pizza. I love her. Here she is at the world premiere of Charlie Wilson's War. She looks great! I hate her as a blonde (she's a blonde in that movie). My favorite is the long, curly red a la, Pretty Woman and My Best Friends Wedding.
The Afflecks out and about in NYC. I posted this because Violet looked so cute! I mentioned that Jennifer Garner was on RR yesterday. She's the spokesperson for the Flu Shot (or something?). Do you get the shot? Do you get your kids vaccinated? I hear that the MIST is not a good idea because it's a live version.
On a personal note, please go VOTE. Butter (yellow) or Grass (green, shown). Thanks!
Loving this stuff!!
I also want to know, what blogs do you read and recommend? I don't read a lot of other people's blogs. Except for yours.
**So, send people my way and send me links to blogs you think I'd enjoy.

A Couple Things...
-I took a nap and had the weirdest dream. My mom had a blog and didn't tell me. And I was so so so so
MAD! I was angry that she'd lied to me. And I was crying and yelling. I was out of control. But, don't worry, I have crazy dreams all the time. Very vivid, real dreams that are sometimes really good and some really not. Some are so incredible I don't want to wake up. This one was just nonsense.-I'm starving and I don't know what I want. I hate that. I don't want to start cooking. Luke's asleep (we are kinda stuffy and sneezy over here) and I'm not going to start anything mayjah (a little nod to Lin). But, I don't want just a bowl of cereal. I don't know.
-Teach your children phone etiquette or don't let them "play" with the phone. If that pisses you off or offends you, I'm sorry. This is my blog and if you read it regularly, you know how much I LOVE kids. But, I am not a fan of parents who allow their children to just run around and act like idiots. *Yes, there is a reason I'm saying this.* I'm minding MY own business in MY own house. MY cell phone rings. I pick it up and say, "Hello" and a kid (not over 5, I'm sure, and hope) says "Heeellllloooooo? Heeelllllooooo?" So, as I am sure it's not Daniel, he's very "grown-up" and all "How are you today?" on the phone, I say "Hello" one more time and don't hear anything so I hang up and am annoyed. Then, the phone rings again. MY phone. "Hello" and the little boy says, "Who this is?" Now, I cannot stand grammar like this but, yes I understand that he's a little kid (even though people must be speaking like this in front of him). I also CANNOT stand when someone calls MY phone and asks ME who I am before identifying themselves. Once again, I realize that this is a child but, if you are going to allow your child to use the phone without you even supervising (obviously), teach him etiquette. So after I kept saying, who is this? What's your name? Who are you looking for? And him answering only, "Heeellllloooooo?" And, "Who this is?" He FINALLY says, "Where's maw maw?" I told him there were none here and he had the wrong number. I figured he would keep calling me if I didn't clear it all up. OK, so, please teach your kids manners. And if they are young and using the phone, help them.
-Have you all finished reading your Harry Potter book?
-What to EAT? Shrimp & pasta, the old stand-by, I'm sure.
-I am very upset that I missed
Monk last night with my man, SNOOP DOGG, guest starring. I had to pick Luke up at the airport in N BR. He missed his flight in Houston (to Baton Rouge), because his flight from Detroit was late coming into Houston. So, they put him on standby on the 2:20 flight and confirmed him for the 3:10 flight. Well, at 2:20, he calls and said that he did not make the 2:20 and the 3:10 was cancelled. The next flight wasn't until 7. He could drive home and be here by 7 or about (he tells me). While driving, he calls me and tells me that he hopes his luggage is in BR because he packed his keys. WHAT A MORON. Really. Of course the bag wasn't there! Who does that? Do you pack your keys?

Thursday Thirteen

Thirteen Things that make me mad
When I cannot get in touch with Luke and I know he's not working
When you are at the store and there are lines of people and two cashiers! That just drives me nuts!!!!
When my sheets are messed up. I am OCD about my bedding. Everything has to be perfect.
When cars try to run over me. I live on a busy road and people don't want to slow down long enough to let me turn into my driveway, even though I put my blinker on waaaaay ahead of time.
When the TV Guide doesn't match the tv. It makes me mad when the magazine says one show is on and it isn't. I'm a tv fanatic so I miss a show I wanted to see or get excited to see one that is not coming on at all.
When people challenge my beliefs with no intelligent facts or reasons.
When people judge me without knowing anything about me. They see that I stay at home and don't go to school. Must be stupid... Must be spoiled... Must be ???
Stereotypes. I don't fit in any so, I don't like them and work REALLY hard at not buying into them. I'm very girly and love make up and clothes but, I'm not shallow. I'm very smart and I also have a "crunchy, hippie" side.
When a book doesn't live up to it's hype.
People who don't use their blinkers.
When tennis or golf interrupts good tv shows. There are sports channels for that crap.
The boom boom, rattle my windows bass of the low riders that drive past my house.
The neighbors who play very loud music all night long on any given night.
