I love Taylor Momsen's new haircut. I've heard that a lot of people don't like it and compare it to Joan Jett's hair. I LOVE it. A lot. I cannot express how much. Well, I guess I can say that I saw her hair on GG and then that following Friday cut my own hair.

Makeover, Makeover!

Corey was so excited when I told him "I want funky hair!" He told me, "Well, c'mon girl, let's go." I showed him a few pictures in a magazine and we talked about my hair texture and we put some stuff together and BAM! He did an awesome job. Now I have straight, short hair. And I lost one pound this week!! (It may have been in my hair)

Unfortunately for you, I still can't find my USB chord so you can't see the pictures I took. I will try to borrow my dad's sometime soon. Or find ours.

Tomorrow is the LSU vs Bama game and we will be out tailgating. GO TIGERS!!

I have an appoinment with Corey tomorrow. He does my hair. I'm not due for a color yet, just a cut. I'm really thinking of doing something kinda crazy, trendy. I don't know what exactly, I'm kinda looking at some pictures...

Blah Day

I cannot seem to move it. I am so so tired and we were asleep at 9 last night. I have so much to do and I'm just completley unmotivated and dragging. I really hate that. I feel so gross. I want to get back in the bed and sleep.

In other news, I hate my hair. I have a haircut appointment on Friday and I'm thinking of a major change. I don't know what yet. I may just go and tell him that I hate it right now and let him do what he wants. I hate the curl, hate the length, hate the style... The only thing I like is the color. I wish it were longer. He can't "cut it longer" though. And I'm not getting extensions. Maybe I'll cut it short.

*Well, aren't ya'll sweet for wanting to see a picture of me? My camera is acting crazy and every picture that Luke took is blurry. I never read the manual so I guess I need to get it out. The camera is in "green mode" and we don't know (a) what that is or (b) how to get rid of it. I'll get Lindsey to take some pics this week and I'll show you.

My hair is straight right now... or as straight as it gets. It's very insane. It's also in a ponytail. You will get a curly headed picture though. The color is super fly. It's a little darker than Debra's but FABULOUS. I love it.

New Meds and Stuff... (TMI alert)

I lost my mojo. It's the Zoloft. My doc has been trying since last April to get me to try Wellbutrin but, I've been reluctant. I'm so wary of side effects. All she had to say was the words "jittery" and "agitation" and I figured sex was overrated. Well, not completely but, you get my drift. I'm not interested in feeling any of those things because I already do. I take medication for anxiety and am trying to wean off of it and it's a huge horrible ordeal.


Well, turns out, I need more than hugs from the hubs (and so does he) and the Zoloft wasn't getting the entire job done. The anti-depression job, I mean.


My sweet Kate has been telling me about it and made me feel better (and supported) plus, I figured since I already feel like dog poo, what the hell? So, on Friday, I took the Wellbutrin (the W). I take it in the AM and the Zoloft in the PM. So far, so good. The W does not make me jittery but, a little hyper. I'm hoping that when i feel better, this will be a great thing! I was a little emotional and irritable on Friday but, who knows if that was the W or just me?


I need a haircut so bad but, I don't know what to do with it. I want to cut it a lot but I don't think it'll work. The curls, the fat face, etc. I have to have lots of layers and I must wear it curly or wavy. It looks silly straight. Trust me. Plus, I am not doing the whole 2 hour hair straightening, blow dry, flat iron thing. I know me, I'm not doing it.


What should I do? Hmmmm? Any ideas?


Do you have an exercise regime? Tell me about it. How did you start? How did you start from very-very-out-of-shape to exercising regularly. HELP! I need to start. I'm very motivated because we are going on a FABULOUS vacation in May. I'll tell you all about it soon. It's gorgeous, tropical, dreamy...

It's Julianne Moore's birthday today. I LOVE her. I think she's a great actress, has beautiful hair and I like the name Julianne(a). Julianna is the next girl name on the list.

A Good Day

Today was a good day. Remember that song? Anyway, I woke up and felt pretty good so I got dressed and went to visit Lindsey and Muffin. I was starving so I figured I would get Muffin and bring him for ice cream. They were at Lindsey's mom's house which is down the road from my house. We had fun! He's so cute. He loves to ride in the car. He loves to sing and dance to music on the radio. He loves school buses and big trucks. He loves ME. I'm just saying.

I love him, too. He makes me so happy and I feel so loved. Plus, seeing the world through his eyes is so sweet, innocent, and beautiful. It's a privilege to a part of his life and I thank Linds for that privilege all the time (Thank you, Lindsey!). Really, this child is awesome. He's happy and loving. He is curious, smart and loves to see and learn new things. He also is very polite and so sweet. He is also the CUTEST boy.

Anyway, Lindsey and I talked for awhile and then I had to go to the office. I needed to get something from mom. On the way, I called my stylist Lori to see if she could (by any miracle) fit me in to slap some color on my hair and cut my hair or one or the other. I need something! I felt good and who knows if it will continue and making an appointment hasn't been working so, I called. They know me very well there and took pity on me.

I got a color and cut and I'm thrilled! I don't have a digital camera, all I have is my celly so, you'll have to wait until I get someone to take a picture. I colored it a medium auburn color. I've had it this color MANY times before and it's very close to natural. I got some choppy, angular layers and bangs!! I wear my hair curly. I've been through the round brush, straightening iron blah, blah, blah, blah... I just know that I'm not gonna do all of that (it takes about an hour or LONGER to do all of that) and my hair doesn't look as good straight. In fact, some people (Luke, Lindsey, mom & dad) HATE it straight. HATE. It's much better (and easier) curly. You'll see it later.

I left there and stopped at the grocery to pick up a few things so I wouldn't starve. I need to go "big" grocery shopping like my dad and I call it but, I didn't have it in me by then. We have NO FOOD so if I didn't at least pick up some bread, meat, chicken, salad- we'd starve to death. I approached the deli and saw the manager yelling at a girl behind the counter! He was telling her, "We don't pay you to sit in the bathroom and talk on the cell phone!" I agree with him completely, of course. I just think it's inappropriate to yell at an employee in front of customers- in the middle of the store! I felt bad for her. *Sigh*

I'm watching and DVR'ing Beauty and the Geek, House, Law & Order: SVU, CANE(!!!!), & Queer Eye tonight. I'll let y'all know if I blog about it on SHOEADDICT SAYS.

My Hair. My Soul.

So, today I got my hair cut. Not a trim. I got a CUT. I was sick of the loooooong hair but, I had some requirements such as: I still had to be able to put it up (love my ponytail!!) & I could not have "fat face". I don't know if you are familiar with fat face but, it's not pretty. I'm sure you are aware that I'm not skinny but, I don't have a round face. My face is an oval shape (with the extra chins. :) ). But, when you are bigger, and have curls, short hair can sometimes equal fat face.

That was another thing- the curls. I got rid of the flat iron a long time ago. Stick straight hair is not for me. I need some "ummph"! Trying to blow dry the hair straight and then flat iron it also, takes waaaaaay more time than I'm willing to put into doing the hair. So, I wear it curly or wavy. Works for me.
I'm keeping the "hair" theme going by talking about hair products. Do you know what you are putting on your hair? Do you care? Maybe you should care more... Shampoos like Pantene, Suave, Pert Plus, etc, all are made with things like sulfer which is HORRIBLE for both your hair and your skin. It touches your scalp and gets into your bloodstream. I use Aveda hair products and love them.

As for make-up, I don't use Aveda and I haven't done the "mineral make-up" thing. Maybe I should???? Having health problems, I really have started (lately) thinking about what I have been putting in my body and breathing in and putting on my body. We know that all processed and trans-fatty foods are terrible for us, making us feel sluggish and yuck. The more organic the food, the better for you. I know that can make you feel better.
I do not know very much about "healthy" products but, it's something I'm intreged by, for sure. I will be reading more about what I'm eating, what I'm bathing with, and what I'm lathering on my body. It could be making me sick!
I will report on what I've found out. I do know for sure that Pantene shampoo made my hair fall out. You can read about why at the link. It's all about sodium lauryl sulfate and it's derivatives. That stuff causes eye problems, hair loss, even cancer! Yes, it's cheaper but, at what COST??
