Things I Have Bought Lately That I Love
I received the VS heritage sleepshirt as a present from my little bro and SIL for Christmas. I think they got me the red one. I LOVED it and immediately ordered the grey and the hot pink. They are so perfect to wear with pj pants to lounge or to sleep. The material is so light and soft so it's not too hot but they are long sleeved. They are on sale now for only $10! I'm buying the other colors that I don't have. 
I have bought 5 pairs of shoes since Christmas. These are from Piperlime.com and they were having a HUGE sale. I got these in today and they are better than the picture. I LOVE them so much. They can be worn with tights and skirts or with pants or whatever. They are by Restricted
Are you sick of me talking about my true love, L'occitane? I just cannot say enough about these products. I told you a few days ago about my trip to the store and what I bought. Well, I HAD to come back and talk about the wonders of these two products.
I know that I have told you before about how sensitive and dry my skin is all the time. The shea butter cream is so great. It's thick and moisturizing and smells great. I use it after I shave, after I get out of the shower/bath, on my heels, on my hands and just before bed so I can smell it. I have the regular and the new limited edition rosebud. I plan to buy the acacia and the frangipani because they are 2 for $38 or 1 for $21. Right now, my wish list includes the lavender shea butter , the honey & lemon bath set, the orange spray and the home stuff.

Favorites
Yesterday, before I went to the movies, I also went to the mall. Yes, it was a self-indulgent day. I had to stop by one of my very favorite places in all of the world, L'occitane. Oh, how I adore that little place. Seriously, every person who reads this must get at least one thing from there. I bought the Lavender Vinegar (a natural treatment for acne and blemishes) and the Ultra Comforting Serum (minimizes and reduces redness and itching of sensitive skin). These products are natural and hypoallergenic which I need for my very sensitive skin. I also had to pick up one of the 20th Anniversary Ultra Rich Body Creams with Shea Butter. I LOVE the regular URBCs with Shea Butter- it's not like anything else. I got the Rosebud one and plan to get all of them. Acacia is the next on my list. I smelled them all and loved them. If you want to try L'occitane, try some shea butter products. The 20th anniversary URBCs are now 2 for $38 (one is $21) online. I don't know if this is in stores too because she (the checkout lady) didn't tell me about it. I recommend this set but I cannot find it anywhere online in stock. They had some in the store that I went to yesterday. The products are more expensive than Bath and Body Works or drugstores but they are so worth it. There are no preservatives or harsh chemicals and so you only need a little bit. I promise that if you try it, you will love it.Labels: beauty products, link to beauty products

Just Add Water
I had to share about one of my favorite new things lately. I say lately because I will be in love with something else soon. You know that. Anyway, I bought these on a whim and I love them. Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Cleansing Pads are soap-free and have a smooth side and an exfoliating side. They are easy, easy, easy and quick as 1,2,3! My skin looks really great! I follow up with my Cetaphil or a few times a week my moisture mask. I have had a few breakouts but then again my hormones have been through a lot lately. My overall skin is great. Huh. I was shocked too. Turns out that I spent tons of money for no good reason. Anyone want a CLOSET full of barely used facial products? No, seriously... What's Your Color?
What is the darkest lip color that you wear? A lipstick, gloss, glass, stain whatever... What is the color you wear when you are doing the "dramatic" look- or at least the darker lip look?
Don't forget to tell me the whole name and shade (example: MAC lipstick in Del Rio- yes, I have that color). And go ahead and tell me your favorite overall shade, dark or light. But, I specifically want darker colors. I'd LOVE it if you've got a great
RED that you've fallen in love with that looks perfect on you. Tell me.....I have TONS of lipsticks/glosses/glasses and whatever. But, my favorite (RIGHT NOW) lipstick is MAC's Coconutty, lip gloss VS Beauty Rush in Pinked Limonade (they do not go together), Philosophy's the supernatural lip gloss in neutral, and lip liner is MAC in cork.

Remember How I Hated My Hair?
Well I don't anymore bcause I found
this. I LOVE Aveda. Ahhhh. I know, I know, this is the 3rd Aveda product that I'm singing about but, it's really fabulous.
I put it in my hair and scrunched just a little, then let it dry all by itself and OH MY GOD the curls :) Perfection. No little baby curls, no 80s perm curls, no frizzy curls... perfect curls and waves all over.
It looked like I spent time doing something to it, curling irons and the like when I did nothing but put in the one product. Oh and the Elixor Leave-on conditioner that I always use but, they have discontinued it (of course!) I realize that probably none of you will benefit from this post because you probably all have or wear your hair straight but, I'm just so freaking excited!
And I really have to keep telling you guys how fabulous Aveda products are and that you should run out and get something.

AVEDA Love
So, who's sick of me whining? Yeah, me too. I'm all excited about some great products and I gotta tell you all about them! I am really lovin two awesome products I got from AVEDA. The first one is the first one pictured- Tourmaline Charged Cleanser and Exfoliator. I was looking for a good quality but easy facial scrub and THIS IS IT! It's a cleanser, too but, it will not be replasing my Philosophy's Purity Made Simple as my everyday cleanser. This Tourmaline Exfoliator cleans and scrubs deeply and leaves your face feeling very clean. It takes a little washing to get it off... a little clingy if ya know what I mean but I've never met an exfoliator that wasn't like that.
The next product that I have fallen in love with from AVEDA is really, really the best thing I've found in forever!! It's called Deep Cleansing Herbal Clay Mask. Well, let me tell you what, honey buns, my face was deeply cleaned. You put the mask on for 5 minutes and take it off and then, voila! Magic! Now, I know that you can get products for cheaper (this one is $19, which is a great price in my opinion) but, this is quality. AND, it doesn't take a lot each time. My Hair. My Soul.
So, today I got my hair cut. Not a trim. I got a CUT. I was sick of the loooooong hair but, I had some requirements such as: I still had to be able to put it up (love my ponytail!!) & I could not have "fat face". I don't know if you are familiar with fat face but, it's not pretty. I'm sure you are aware that I'm not skinny but, I don't have a round face. My face is an oval shape (with the extra chins. :) ). But, when you are bigger, and have curls, short hair can sometimes equal fat face. That was another thing- the curls. I got rid of the flat iron a long time ago. Stick straight hair is not for me. I need some "ummph"! Trying to blow dry the hair straight and then flat iron it also, takes waaaaaay more time than I'm willing to put into doing the hair. So, I wear it curly or wavy. Works for me. I'm keeping the "hair" theme going by talking about hair products. Do you know what you are putting on your hair? Do you care? Maybe you should care more... Shampoos like Pantene, Suave, Pert Plus, etc, all are made with things like sulfer which is HORRIBLE for both your hair and your skin. It touches your scalp and gets into your bloodstream. These shampoos are like detergents with strong chemicals in them. As for make-up, I don't use Aveda and I haven't done the "mineral make-up" thing. Maybe I should???? Having health problems, I really have started (lately) thinking about what I have been putting in my body and breathing in and putting on my body. We know that all processed and trans-fatty foods are terrible for us, making us feel sluggish and yuck. The more organic the food, the better for you. I know that can make you feel better. I do not know very much about "healthy" products but, it's something I'm intreged by, for sure. I will be reading more about what I'm eating, what I'm bathing with, and what I'm lathering on my body. It could be making me sick!I will report on what I've found out. I do know for sure that Pantene shampoo made my hair fall out. You can read about why at the link. It's all about sodium lauryl sulfate and it's derivatives. That stuff causes eye problems, hair loss, even cancer!
