I'm Back (And A Question)
I got my computer back! I feel like it's been gone forever. I'm too busy (paying bills, laundry, reading all of your blogs, etc) to write anything of substance. Maybe later. So, um, hypothetically, if an ex-boyfriend's sister finds you on FB and requests that you be there friend, what do YOU do? Labels: Facebook, updates
Checking In
Hi, friends! Sorry that I have been MIA for over a week but I don't have my computer. Layla chewed the power cord- again- and I had to order a new one. It won't be in until this Friday. It's amazing how lost I am without it. I don't know what is going on in the world! Right now, I'm catching up on Blue's computer but it's not always easy for me to use it. It's his work laptop and he takes it with him during the day and is on it when he gets home. He does a lot of work on it and he plays too. I will be back as soon as I can. Don't forget about me! For now, tell me what you did for Valentine's Day. -Blue sent me flowers and a teddy bear and candy on Friday. Friday night, my family went out to eat (13 of us because one was missing). I had the spicy tuna and shrimp boil soup. I had never had a tuna steak and it was ok. I think that more sauce would've been better. Saturday morning, I got some flowers from my dad. SIL, mom and I went shopping at Target and Bed, Bath and Beyond. First, we had to go to Sarah T's and it was so great to see her. It was only for a minute or two, though. I was there to pick up her bag of goodies for baby Kate's family. Then, we went to an old high school friends' house to bring all of the stuff to her. Then, we went shopping. Saturday night, Blue grilled hamburgers for Justin, SIL and me. It was very low key but fun. I forgot about the french fries and started cooking them late. We had them for dessert. I still feel guilty about it. Then, we watched a little of Christopher Titus' comedy special on Comedy Central. I love stand-up comedy. Then, I watched some more of my DVR'ed shows from last week. Weekend Bullets- ETA
Good Morning! Lots to say this Sunday morning so, lemme get to it. - Last night was great! There are pics coming. We rode in a black Excersion limo and it was fun. We went to a seafood restaurant called Robin's (not pronounced Robin like the bird, I don't think I can spell out the pronunciation). When the pictures come, I'll tell the story.
- Luke says Ruth will go home Monday. I cannot tell you how much I want to be there with her. For those of you in the know, that says a lot about my love for her. ETA- Luke spoke with his father and he says Ruth might come home tomorrow. *fingers crossed*
- Amy, I want to see pictures of Baylee in her purple polo and pigtails!! I'm dying just thinking of it. I love the little girl polo shirts because of the little sleeves. ETA- Amy did send me the cutes pictures of Baylee wearing her purple polo and her LSU bows in her pigtails. Thanks, AMY!!
- I have lost weight!
- I'm planning to finish my CC today. I'm dissappointed because I have only recieved ONE CC so far! Then again, I have not checked my mail in a few days. ETA- One CC, from my grandparents! YAY!!! CC count so far- 2. I didn't finish mine, either. I'm on the H's (the H e's to be exact)
- Whataburger (yeah, I know) has these pumpkin pies, like apple pies, and they are so good.
- I still have to buy for: daddy, Muffin, 3 little cousins (Hunter, 7, Mason, 3, and Arlee, 3) and the little boy in our adopted family.
That's all I can think of now...

What's Cookin'?
I'm cookin' red beans today. It's a specialty of mine. I use two types of sausages and Luke
L.O.V.E.S it. He bought a
two pound bag of beans. If you've ever cooked beans you know that just one pound is a lot of beans! It's just Luke and me eating these beans. I'll probably offer to give some to other people. Lindsey? Mom? I think poor Luke is just really, really sick of chicken! We have had chicken every night this week. Chicken breast and vegetables. But, he will not eat the vegetables. Drives me crazy!! He tried to tell me that cheese is a vegetable or "kinda one". I swear he is like a child.
Today has been OK. I woke up very early to go potty and had a headache. This was not surprising because yesterday, while in the neurologist's office, I began to get an
aura. I get the visual and sensory types. I sometimes get the very rare confusion and that is terrible and a whole other post!! Anyway, I was getting the visual type in the doctor's office yesterday. I went to see her at the request of my endocrinologist. Yes, I have a lot of "-ologists" that I see, way too many for my age. I have an endocrinologist, gastroenterologist, neurologist, internist (ologist... hee hee), gynecologist, urologist, cardiologist, WHOOO!!
Anyway, that is irrelevant. I don't even know why I told y'all that. I went to see the neurologist because some of the symptoms i told my endocrinologist about, he felt were neurology related and not endocrine related. So, she did her own thing and we talked and blah, blah, blah... Bottom line, I am going to have an MRI to rule out "something" on my
cerebellum. Maybe a legion, mass, or what have you. I'm not worried that it's serious. I'm not worried that it's cancer or anything like that. She never said that word. In fact, she said BENIGN tumor. Of course, there may be nothing there at all, too. I will know soon enough.
I just really want to be able to exercise and lose weight. I want to feel good. I want to be able to do my chores around the house. I want to be able to go to family functions. I want to be able to go out more. I want to travel with my family. I want to be a mother. I want to be a good mother. I want to be a good wife. I love my husband and my family (that includes my friends... you know who you are) and want to be able to spend more time with them.
Please let me thank you all again for all of your concern, kindness, sweet words, encouragement, prayers, love, etc... I CANNOT tell you how much it helps me and how much this means to me. These gestures have helped me through A LOT and touched me deeply. Please forgive me for being so tardy on the "Fall Shoe Trends" post and the post about the returning shows I'm looking forward to seeing. I promise they are coming soon.

Saturday Roundup
So, there's some stuff I gotta talk about and I think I'm gonna try the bullet point thing. Here we go:
- Luke and I are doing better. We are adjusting to new things and that's not always easy. But, we love each other very much and we're very committed to each other and our marriage. It's just difficult with him at times because he is not good with communication. I am obviously very good with communicating how I feel. I also think it's imperative in all relationships to have communication. Anyway, we are doing fine. We've been laughing and talking.
- Comments. When you comment on my blog do you want me to respond? Because when I comment on blogs I like a response. So, when you comment on my blog, I get it in my email and I usually will send you a response through email if I know you have your email address connected that way. Some of you don't because I've gotten a "no reply". I will respond in the comment section. I haven't been doing that lately and I'm sorry.
- Thanks so much for your prayers. Like Diann said on her blog, If I tell you I'm praying for you, I'm REALLY going to pray for you. Please let me know if you or someone you know needs special prayer. I believe in the power of prayer. I STRONGLY believe in the power of prayer. I'm actually thinking of putting up a "I'm praying for" thing on the side or something like that. So, let me know. I know for sure that I will pray and so will Diann.
- I'm thinking of doing some book reviews on the books I've read but, I'm NERVOUS! Because other bloggers do it. I guess that's why. I don't know how to do it professionally or anything. I've never done it before. I have no clue why I'm so worried about it.
- I love doing product reviews. So far I've done: 1)Aveda be curly 2) Aveda face scrub 3) Aveda clay mask and yesterday 4)Nailtiques and (kinda) OPI. I am still 100% all for these products. I'm waiting for something and then I'll be doing a write-up about some of my FAVORITE eye shadows. I'm telling you this because product "reviews" or "write-ups" are definitely going to be a big part of my blog. What do you think?
- I'm also thinking of telling you all about some of the great people I'm meeting in the blogging world. Kind of a "Go visit so-and-so" she is blah, blah, blah... Now, there is another blogger who does this but, I'm not trying to copy. I'm not doing this to get comments. I'm just so so pleased with some of the women I've *met*. I want everyone to know them.
- I think that's all. OH, and the reason I don't post pictures of myself- I don't have a digital camera! When I get one, you'll get sick of seeing me. Or maybe you won't because I'm a fattie and I probably won't post a bunch of pics of me. But, I will continue to post pictures of Cooper, Cal and the Georgia girls. And when WE have a baby... LOOK OUT!!
- Lastly, I did watch Nicole on 20/20 last night and I think she did well. I like Joel Madden. To be honest, I always liked Nicole. I NEVER liked Paris. I still don't. I hope Nicole keeps her promise for her own sake and for the sake of her child. You know they're gonna name that child something whack, right? Rumour has it, it's a boy and Christina Aguilera's baby is a girl. That's just the word. I'm not saying I believe it.

Update

Luke is on his way home and looks like everything was a huge success. The plane rides were not bad. He's been delayed and that makes him very, VERY mad. He has zero patience. But, it is what it is and he has to learn to deal.
He is getting a HUGE promotion, a very large raise and some nice perks. I'm so proud. Prouder than I have ever been of anyone or anything. I just think back to how hard he's worked and how far he's come and I get so emotional. Luke did not go to college (one semester). He got into this business when he moved here from Georgia 4 years ago. My dad got him started.
He flies out Monday to Canada to do more adminitrative stuff and learn more about his new position. I'm praying for a nice cozy weekend together.
Thank you to everyone who prayed for us/him.

UPDATE
The deadline for the "Reader Participation Survey" has been extended until Friday!! I've received Sarah's, Kelli's and mom's (Sheila's). Bon said she was in but, I haven't received hers so, I've emailed her to remind her. I also wanted to tell you MOM to ask DAWN if she wanted to do it. KELLI, I thought maybe you could ask your friend KATE. Don't put up a post or anything but, just her and one or two other people??? (I hope she doesn't mind that I just linked her name- is that the correct jargon? I'm so new at this. I've kinda lurked around her blog...)I'm very interested in certain aspects of other people's marriages/relationships. That's why I'm so gung-ho about getting people to do this. Thanks Sarah, Kelli and mom- you did a great job and have great pictures. Labels: feedback, reader partipation, updates
