My Favorite Color
This is late because I'm sure that you are reading this at work. I presume that if you are at work, you are dressed for the day. I wanted to do this post earlier this week and kept forgetting. Oh, well, maybe if you go out later? Or maybe we can all do this every Friday this month? Anyway, February is National Heart Health and today, February 6, is National Wear Red Day. Heart disease is the #1 killer of women today. Wear red to show your support of those with the disease and to raise awareness. My mom's family has very high blood pressure. Blue's family has it too. Both of our families have mostly cancer-related deaths but this is very important, too. Do you know what your blood pressure is right now? Is it too high? My blood pressure is usually way too LOW. I have a bp machine to monitor it. I had to get it a long time ago when I was sick all the time. My cholesterol is pretty low, too. If you don't know what your numbers are, make an appointment with your doctor, right now! And check out Andie and Wordnerd's posts on the subject. These two fabulous ladies are also fellow Louisianians. I'm sorry this post is late! Tell me if you heard about this and you wore red today. Or if you are wearing red by coincedence.
