I thought it would be of interest to some of you to hear this story. I know that TONS of you blogging moms have bought JESSICA SEINFELD's new cookbook about hiding veggies in food. Mrs. Seinfeld's book is the number 1 book in the U.S. right now but, she may not be on top for long. it turns out she isn't very creative- not with the idea for the book or the recipes! Missy Chase Lapine, wrote The Sneaky Chef, a cookbook that came out in April that has some of the exact same recipes: mashed potatoes with cauliflower, grilled cheese with sweet potato, green eggs with pureed spinach, brownies with spinach and tacos with carrots. That's kind of a lot to be a coincidence. My mom eats mashed cauliflower instead of potatoes so that kind of thing is understandable but some of that other stuff... Missy Chase Lapine is a chef on the faculty of the New School of NY City, is the former publisher of Eating Well magazine and founded a natural baby care product line called BABY SPA.
JESSICA SEINFELD was in marketing for Tommy Hilfiger. Now, she's married to JERRY SEINFELD and has 3 kids.
