Got Me On My Knees
Layla Jewel is a bad, bad doggie. I know that it is my fault that she is so untrained, undisciplined and wild. I don't really know what to do with her sometimes. I love her, she is so cute and if those two things weren't true- she'd be in (even bigger) trouble. Her newest thing- the last couple of days- is barking at night. She stays by my bedroom and barks. Then she adds a little howl in for good measure. Did I mention that this is at 2 am (last night)? Tonight she is doing it at 10 pm. I was supposed to start putting her in her kennel in the outside room but it's too cold right now. She currently has the run of the house at night. It's not good, I know. She usually crawls up into one of our chairs and sleeps though. I don't know what her problem is and how to fix it. Some people have suggested that we put a shock collar on her and I just don't wanna do that. I don't know if I could even train her now. I know there are classes at PetSmart but is she too old? She is four-years-old. She still does puppy stuff- chewing, barking, nipping. My dad said that female dogs do better if they have one litter of puppies. After that one litter they are usually more "grown up", just like people. She got very sick after we first got her and had to have surgery. The vet just spayed her when she was having that surgery. It was easier for her. Poor Layla, she was unable to have babies. Maybe she is bitter? I also think that she would like for us to (1) get a fence so she can play more outside and (2) get her a friend doggie. Our next dog will be a larger one that lives outside so we are waiting to get a fence. Blue wants to get a Siberian Husky but I am against that. I want a yellow or black lab, a bulldog, a Corgi or something like that. And we are getting a male one this time.
