Southern Women

I stole this from Andie. I hope she doesn't mind!! I love it. I'm southern born, southern bred and so proud. Andie got it in an e-mail.

Southern women appreciate their natural assets:
Clean skin, a winning smile, that unforgettable Southern drawl

Southern women know their manners:
"Yes, ma'am." "Yes, sir." "Why, no, Billy!"

Southern women have a distinct way with fond expressions:
"Y'all come back!"
"Well, bless your heart."
"Drop by when you can."
"How's your Momma 'n' ' em?"
"Love your hair."

Southern women know their weather report: Humidity. Humidity. Humidity.

Southern women know their three Rs: Rich, Richer, Richest.

Southern women know their vacation spots: the beach, the beach the beach

Southern women know the joys of June, July, and August:
Summer tans
Wide brimmed hats
Strapless sun dresses

Southern women know everybody's first name:
Honey

Shugah

Southern women know the movies that speak to their hearts:

Southern women know their country breakfasts:
Red-eye gravy

Southern women know their cities dripping with Southern charm:

Savannah
New Orleans
Beaufort

Southern women know their elegant gentlemen:
Men in uniform
Men in tuxedos

Southern women know their prime real estate:

Southern women know the three deadly sins:
Bad hair
Bad manners

Southern girls know men may come and go, but friends are forevah!

Now Shugah, send this to some girls who were raised in the South or wish they had been. If you're a male, you hug that Southern woman of yours and say, "I'm a lucky man!" If you're a northern transplant, FAKE it...We know you got here as fast as you could. Bless Your heart!

**You know, if you're southern, you can say something mean about anybody as long as you bless their heart, right? "Look at that ugly baby! Ughhh!! Bless her heart." Don't you act like you don't know what I'm talking about. "Oh, she has gotten so big. Bless her heart." **

I wish I was in the land of cotton,
Old times there are not forgotten;
Look away! Look away! Look away, Dixie's Land
In Dixie's Land where I was born in,
Early on one frosty morning,
Look away! Look away! Look away, Dixie's Land!
Then I wish I was in Dixie! Hooray! Hooray!
In Dixie's Land I'll take my stand, to live and die in Dixie!
Away! Away! Away down South in Dixie!
Away! Away! Away down South in Dixie!
