A Bad Post

Today is a big clean up day. My SIL and two of her friends are coming tomorrow night. They are leaving GA at about 4 and it's about an 8 hour drive. The Jazz Fest is going on in New Orleans right now so they are coming for that. I don't think they have ever been and they are coming to hear Jimmy Buffett (Saturday).

My house is waaaay too small for all these people. We are renting the house we live in and we are about to bust out of it. It's an old, up-off-the-ground, small 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom house. It's too small for Luke and me. We have been looking for a house to buy which is fun and scary and great and weird. Anyway, this is the house we have right now and it's served us well.

I am battling dizziness and nausea to scrub the tub and wash the clothes. It's great fun. I have so much stuff and not enough places to put it. It's extremely frustrating. We also generate a lot of trash. Most of my cleanup is finding a place for everything and throwing the trash away. I have no decor to speak of and I won't until we move into a house with walls I can paint and stuff.

This post is really suffering. I am just gonna stop and just put it out there now. Sorry

Live From American Idol!

I'm not blogging enough to separate my tv from my regular so, this is my American Idol post. I DVR everything so, it's behind an an hour.

First comments- (1) I miss Carly! (2) Neil Diamond ugggggggggh...... spare me! (3) Paula is such an aggravation.

Jason- He always, always sounds the same. It was a decent performance, but nothing outstanding. I don't understand the girls going crazy over him. He has pretty eyes. I don't see anything to scream my head off over. The song, the blue jean song, is silly.

David C- I have been a big David C fan in the past. My favs of his were his "Billie Jean" and "Always Be My Baby". This was another mediocre performance: good enough, same sound, boring. It sounds a bit theatrical. I've never heard this song before.

Brooke- I actually like this song ("I'm A Believer") and I think she did a pretty good job. I like it better when a band does it, the way I've heard it before, but it was a decent effort. It was good compared to last week. I hope she keeps her shoes on for her next performance.

David A.- Let me just say before he even sings, I would never buy a CD of this guys. I think many little tweens and maybe older ladies would, though. Oh, he's such a cheeseball..... He really was kinda pitchy. The judges will probably love him though. He'd be great on Broadway.

Syesha- Every week I am bored to tears by this girl. I actually really liked this performance, though. I do think she tries really hard to sound like Whitney and falls short (she missed a few of her high notes in the beginning) and that hurts her a little. She has a gorgeous face.

Okay, the judges are talking. Paula needs to be fired! Who takes her seriously?
Jason- I like it better from the get-go. My lil bro loves the faces he makes. WOW! Kathryn, he does have gigantic feet. I just know he'd look so much better with a haircut. Oh, the end was bad. It was ALL RIGHT. (The judges are unimpressed, too)
David Cook- I don't like the facial hair but I loove the guitar. I think this song is better. Every rocker needs a big ballad, in my opinion. This is not the best but it's good. He has great lips. He can be very sexy. I'd buy his CD and see him live (hopefully with pics of him sans beard). It's mostly my kinda stuff. (The judges dig it. The second song is a winner with them.)
Brooke- Ok, let's see what she does. Her hair looks really pretty this week. A big fat NO on the pants. Oh My GOD! I was digging it and I get a Required Weekly Test on the tv. I like when she's at the piano more than not, I think she is more comfortable there, more in her element. I liked it and think it was good. (The judges liked this second song better. They thought the 1st one was not so great.)
David A.- I always think "theatre" when I see this kid perform. Oh, bad note! Anyway, I see him as very cheesy, Disney, corny, good voice (none of this is bad). This performance was okay. I just can't get into him. I know everybody adores him and all. (The judges love him, of course.)
Syesha- I wanted her gone a long time ago. She should've been gone before Michael Johns or Carly Smithson. That is just what I have to say before she even sings, so you all know how I've felt all this time. Beginning of the song was rough, bad notes. I don't like it, she's all over, vocally. Sounds like she is searching for her note. I do not like the no shoes. What the hell is that???? (The judges liked it. Ummm, Corinne Bailey Rae she is not though, Paula. Simon thinks she is in trouble.)
** So, all in all, not a big fan of tonight. I knew that because it was Neil Diamond night. After it's all over, my fav was David Cook's second performance. Please, please shave tonight.

Easter Come Late

I thought that you would want to see Muffin's Easter pics, even if it's really late. He was so so cute!! I had a big plastic "basket" for him, too. My in-laws were here that weekend, but Lindsey and Muffin came over to see us on Easter Sunday. I have pictures of him over here, but I didn't download them. These are good enough. They are from Lindsey's camera.

The Buzz

It's been a very long time since I've done this so excuse me if I'm rusty and if this sucks. I'm trying. Please don't forget to ask your questions (I forgot how to do this and questions give me something to write about) and leave a comment or email me (shoeaddict17@gmail.com) your blog address so I know where to find you. Now, let's see what's going on with the celebs... Miley Cyrus is big news today. She is apologizing for posing nude with a sheet for Vanity Fair magazine saying she thought they were "artistic" and now she "feels so embarrassed." Disney also made a statement blaming the magazine for creating a situation [to] "deliberately manipulate a 15-year-old to sell magazines". VF came back and said that Miley's parents were with her at the shoot. I know that many of you have children who are Miley fans so, what do you think? Even if you don't have kids or whatever, what do you think? The above pic was shown on Today and Kathie Lee Gifford (CANNOT. STAND. HER!!!) said this is much more disturbing than the semi-nude ones. What do you think about that?
Mariah Carey attended the Tribeca Film Festival on Saturday night wearing two major things of note: (1) pants and (2) this big honking rock on her ring finger. People.com reports that the ring is sparking engagement-to-Nick-Cannon rumors.
Carmen Electra wants to be just like Pammy A. She is engaged to Korn guitarist, Rob Patterson, and got an "R" tattooed behind her ear. "R" must be for Repeat. She was previously married to Dennis Rodman and Dave Navarro. The couple have been dating for less than a year. Surprisingly, there are baby rumors too. Somehow I doubt this is going to be a 50 year marriage.
Amy Poehler is going to be a Baby Mama! How very appropriate! I love this couple (Amy with hubs Will Arnett) , they are so funny. This picture is so cute, right? Amy and Tina Fey's movie was #1 at the box office. I wonder what kinda name they'll give baby Arnett? Tina Fey has a little girl named Alice. I guess that doesn't have anything to do with it though.

Shoeaddict Asks

Do you wear perfume?
Which one(s) do you wear?
Which one(s) do you have memories of from childhood (your first, your mom, grandmother?) or other times of your life?
*There is a reason behind this question. I read in one of my mags that perfume sales are down and that less and less women wear it. This is such a shock to me because I am so smell driven. I think I'll write more about this once I get some feedback.*
I wear perfume all the time. It's a huge deal to me and always has been. I remember my mother wearing Anne Klein when I was young. Her scent (the perfume, her own smell, my house) would linger on my scrunchies and I would take them out of my hair during school and smell them. My mom's smell always makes me feel safe, happy, relaxed. She wears different perfumes now (it was Breathless from VS but not anymore) but she still has a smell that is only my mom.
I love pretty bottles of perfumes. I have lots and lots of them. I wear body splashes, too. My big favorite right now is Brown Sugar & Fig by BBWs. I have all the coordinating stuff. I also love the Enchanted Orchid. I love scents with gardenia, rose or woodsy scents. A perfume I loved was Calyx. That was a while back. I also really like SJP's Lovely.

Help!

I know my titles are very creative.

I got a new laptop because mine was broken and died. I now don't have lots of blog addresses. The sad thing is, I don't even remember who I forgot, you know? Does that make sense? I used to have tons of blogs in my favorites and now, I don't.

PLEASE leave your blog address for me (even if you don't usually comment) and maybe I can find everyone through links on other blogs. If I remember a specific person, I will let you know and maybe you can help me find them.

If you have found new blogs that you think I'll like, leave those addresses too. Thanks!

Spring/Summer shoe post coming this week. :)

A New Man

I may have been converted to a St Louis Rams fan today. Luke and I watched the NFL draft picks (congrats to Glenn Dorsey who was adorable when the Chiefs called him) earlier and I was introduced to my newest crush, Chris Long. HOLY HOTNESS. I couldn't find a picture that was good enough to show what I love about Chris, though. He is so cute. He's also very big which is something I really love in a man. I have never gone for skinny, scrawny guys. I love arms, shoulders, chest.... and Chris has them all. (Have I mentioned that I'm boy crazy?) (I do love my husband. I respect him. Please hold the emails)

Chris is the son of NFL Hall of Famer, Howie Long, who is a cutie, too. Here is Chris, his mom and dad, today after the pick. He went second.

Ahhhh

but I do look better than this.
Amy was arrested today because she headbutted some guy in a bar.
By the way, why don't you ever hear of adults getting ear infections? Do you and it's just me who doesn't hear about it? I ask because I think I have one.

I Need Sleep

I can't believe how easy it is to get so overwhelmed. When I was on the K, I did nothing but computer and talk on the phone and watch tv. I'm still adjusting, though. My sleep is wretched, my skin is so incredibly dry (I spent a disgusting amount of money in SEphoRa yesterday on new lotions and potions for the skin) (I loved it- more on that later), I have headaches, my brain is crazy and loopy and half the time (or more) I am confused. Please bare with me if I make no sense or I'm boring or don't post as often as before.

The GREAT news is that I have energy like I have not had in years. I'm talking since I was in high school, age 16 (I'm 27) or so. That feels really good. It's different though because I'm just a different person coming out of the medicinal fog. I'm a little rawer- not like Eddie Murphy Raw, like vulnerable raw. I don't know how to explain so I'm not going to try, but some things I believe will readjust in time and some things are just part of maturity.

I have to say that I feel like my creative juices are gone. Maybe they left with the K. Maybe they left with the depression. Maybe I'm just tired. I hope it's just a phase because I've really missed blogging. I wish I had my old computer with my old stuff on it and everything in it's place. I lost all my blog friends' addresses (except the ones on the sidebar- I know my sidebar is old and crappy), my go to sites, all my stuff. Whaaaaaaaaa! Yeah, I'm being cranky.

This post is really junk. I should delete it but I want to put something out there. I'm going to stop talking now, though. Maybe after some dinner I'll feel better. Worse case, maybe after I get some sleep tonight (*fingers crossed*).

P.S. I will answer all specific questions very soon. Especially the shoe one, Lys!

Biiiiiig Sigh

Whew! I am so overwhelmed. I've been gone for forever. All of this seems so foreign. The typing, the computer, the writing... This is a new computer and it's a little different from my old one so maybe that's it. Anyone else have Vista?

I don't even know where to start and I'm not even going to right now because I'm so tired, I have a hair appointment in the a.m. and I want to read some of my e-mails (you guys are great!!). I promise that I will be back very soon.

Please leave questions for me. I know I've been gone for a long time and I don't want to talk about things that you don't want to hear about so, ask and I'll answer.

Soon...

Hello! It's Shoeaddict this time. I'm at Lindsey's house. I wanted you all to know that reading your comments means sooooooo much. I miss you and I miss writing. A lot.

I don't know how I make it through the day sometimes- FAKE IT TIL YOU MAKE IT. I'm off the Klonopin (hardest thing I've ever done) and other meds. I'm a lunatic sometimes (most times) and feel like I'm hanging on by my fingernails. I have TONS more energy now that I'm entirely off the K. Unfortunately, there are bad side effects, too.

I'm grateful for my faith. God is good. I'm also grateful for my family and close friends. I'd be dead without them. I know that this is 100% true. I am very lucky to have the husband, parents, friends, etc that I have. I know that so many people don't have any support or faith.

Now, I need to work on faith in me....

I will be back here soon. Please keep me in your prayers.
